Great stuff Sean, always fun to watch and informative, the Landzie products look great, I particularly like the cylinder top dresser as it acts as a sieve to stop any stones in the top soil from going onto the lawn.👍

You're really getting me into this lawncare stuff. Really enjoy watching your videos. Bring on the weekend. Not quite at the landzie level yet. Very much using an adjustable leaf rake and a manual hollow tine aerator. Don't have space for that stuff in London! Im 32 and can use the exercise though, after 2 years of lockdown.

My main issue is two large apple trees at the rear of my lawn, and fox wee. We love the trees, so getting rid of them is a no-no. Lack of sunlight under the tree, and the tree roots perhaps stealing nutrients from the soil. For winter my entire lawn is in the shade so I suspect I should be using nutrients and fertiliser to keep it happy?
@LawnRight3 жыл бұрын
So ensure you keep some length on the lawn over winter. Possibly thin out the trees if ever possible but failing that you'll just need to chuck some seed down each spring.. a shaded grass seed will help a bit but its not a cure unfortunately 😥

Grass is looking so much happier. The large area needs levelling, lots of high and low points, deep cracks and ants !! Might try that Turfsolv but no idea how to level it out. 50ftx175ft so lot of ground to cover.

Just take a few bags of topsoil and apply thin layers to the dips.. dont smother the grass layer.. use back of a rake or lute to work it down.. you can keep building up the layers over time allowing grass to grow hp through ut6

I have been pulling my no name lute. Thanks for the videos, following your and a couple of other UK lawn experts advice my lawn is looking better than any other time,
@LawnRight3 жыл бұрын
Hi my other lute is very heavy and so pulling it is far easier than pushing. The Landzie lute is lighter and designed more for finer topdressings on smooth flat lawns so it was far easier to push on my lawn than pull. When pulled it would flip up at times

Not sure how to level during this renovation. I have got lute and the landzie spreader. I also used Hurrells seed. Can you use spreader to reseed rather than by hand on the lawn.Thanks Shaun.
@LawnRight3 жыл бұрын
I would do the scarify and aerate.. then get some topsoil for the dips.. place piles of soil on the dips.. use the lute back and forth to fill them in.. firming in layers.. then overseed the whole lawn or just bare areas. Then topdress. If your lawns a fair size get a Scott's spreader around 20 pounds I think. I just did it by hand and took me about 10 minutes approx 50 sq metres
