Venice used to have Pacific Ocean Park which was an amazing unique amusement park in the late 50's and 60's. You paid $2.00 dollars to get in and have access to all the rides. Great childhood memories.

The Office season 4 wrap party was at Santa Monica Pier. They rented the entire amusement park area. It was a blast. Also I worked on a night exterior at Santa Monica Pier for a tv show called October Road. Shooting there is a major pain.

I read that on the same day you flew out of the Honolulu airport and at about the same time 3pm.. A plane crashed on takeoff and unfortunately there were two fatalities of the pilots. If you flew out after 3pm. That was probably why your plane was being delayed. The plane that crashed was a training plane that had two young pilots training. Just thought you would want to know.
