My first thought of the road signs was that your probably not allowed to have them (but if you were, I wouldn't mind having one hanging in my room downstairs eirher) and would assume trying to turn a buck on it.. might be even worse- who knows. But pretty cool this place is open on weekends all year round!

I see street/ road signs a lot here in Wisconsin at our flea markets. A few but not too many interstate signs but lots of stop signs, warning signs, speed limit signs, street name signs etc. My guess is that they are legal to sell. If they weren't, I would bet this seller, and all the others selling those types of signs, would have been shut down.

People shoplift at will , and major crimes go unpunished now. I think you are OK buying a road sign!

It's not illegal to buy and sell signs that are now defunct and outdated. Vintage Sign market is large, and road signs fit into that market just as do copyrighted company signs like coca- cola, mountain dew, mobil, shell, Gulf etc all able to be bought and sold or kept as personal property. Misusing those signs for personal benefit to mislead people like road signs- would be different. Im sure different states would have varying statues written on the use of second hand signs/items for display etc. But it doesn't mean you can't hang them to display in your business either because vintage antique shops auction houses would be shut down if it was- or they wouldn't do it. But they do. So you're safe- buy them and enjoy them and please check out more in your future auction and find out the prices.

Have you visited the Seekonk (Massachusetts) flea? Sundays at 7am. Arrive early, the line starts forming at 6am. runs from early spring into the fall. It is on Route 6 in Seekonk, MA

I was looking for myself. This is the closes market to my home and I usually go at least 1 day per weekend. The prices are usually very good compared to the bigger markets. I am a little worried about the number of people selling laundry soap and the like. I hope it doesn't become like the Boulevard Flea Market in New Haven. BTW I wouldn't eat at that restaurant LOL.

Yeah, that was the only thing I didn't like. All the vendors selling soap, medications and other groceries. I plan to go back soon. Stay tuned!

My wife and I do A LOT of flea marketing and estate sale picking and Ive found that if you are a collector, then vintage is just as good as antique. They both hold some value. It depends on your end game. While I completely understand that everyone has things they specifically look for, I'll admit I have a very hard watching flea market vids because I see so few people with my interests. No offence but you looked at everything I wouldnt have looked at and walked by everything Im interested in. For instance at 3:00 in, you walked by a few display cases full of knives, right before you picked up that cheap Batman thing. There were 2 automatic knives in plain view in one if them and I would have been all over them! Having said that, any automatic knife in Connecticut with a blade over 1.5 in. is illegal to carry but not illegal to own. How that would affect the buying or selling of them Im not sure. But I digress. I simply cringe when I see someone walk by a pile of rusty tools. Or a rusty old log chain. One thing Ive learned is to always look at stuff under tables or laying on the ground. If they dont care enough to put it on a table, they wont care how much they sell it for. I find it interesting that your video is only 40mins long. I dont know how much editing you did but I would have spent at least 1.5- 2 hours there. Looks like a great sale to me. Nice vid!

30:56 Guy carrying his loot in the cheap plastic bags. You KNOW you're going to a flea market. You KNOW you're going to buy stuff. BRING a heavy weight canvas bag or one of those big CRINKLY Ikea bags. Or anything stronger then some old CVS plastic bags! I learned the hard way early on, had some small items fall out thru holes in the bottoms. ARGH. Wanna see me get REALLY pissy: the vinyl record collectors taking home their hauls in CVS bags and all the corner tips are poking thru & they're ripping ..and they are not comfortable either when they get weight in them.

My wife and I have one of those folding grocery basket carts. In that we have a square, woven basket that fits perfectly. We've had the thing full with literally a couple hundred pounds of metal. We've considered upgrading to one of those folding canvas wagons but Ill run the wheels off thus thing first.
