You putting the cows in the spotlight and making their comfort number one was spectacular. I can’t wait to see what happens in 2022. I’m sure anticipating seeing more of your videos just to see what’s going on at your farm! It’s been crazy sometimes (I wish I could come help, I miss living on a farm.); but I can see you love what you are doing because your eyes light up, energy goes up, and you get “stuck in” the fun/work for that day. My Uncle Gregory has been telling us how it used to be when he “became the man of the house,” after his Dad passed away when he was 14. I’m amazed at what he’s lived through. I’ve read/learned the history; but he lived the history! I wonder what you will be telling your great, great grandchildren? May 2022: “Bring the sun when it’s needed, the rain in proportion, the grass be the sweetest, the income go up, and the costs go down.” (This blessing was translated from my Uncle Gregory’s native tongue. Yüpkí) We are watching this video together via zoom for his 103rd birthday. He and his great, great grandson (Yuri, at the farm) in Russia and I in Washington State, USA. How the times have changed in 100 years!

Hello to all that take part in helping to make this all work. You had commented on dirty hands and occasionally some on your face. Well I always looked at it growing up on the ranch another day of working and knowing I have been working and it is great How can people really work and not get dirty. It's a wonderful feeling to get out early and then you step back and can be proud of everyone and myself I can walk over pick almost every kind of fruit off a tree or walk to our garden and pick vegetables out of our garden 😀. The best yes it took a while but hard work and the love of it all. So dirty hands and face yes and the smile 😃 on our faces. Success yes Congratulations to you all on a job well done. As someone who grew up on an egg producing farm & had space and acres to use we used it for beef cattle. It totalled about 125ha all told ! What you’ve managed is incredible and I don’t know how you did it all as my dad had about 30 full time staff that worked in the hen houses and out in the fields with the cattle, then a dedicated team of 6-8 staff for the farm shop. Lots of good times but bad ones too, a massive fire that took out 4 Months worth of packaging for the eggs (about 250,000 eggs a day is what we did so work out that for 6 eggs in a box or 30 on a tray with 360 eggs in a case regardless of it being trays or 6 to the cartons …) it also took out our grading and packing machine for the eggs. These things were hard to find at the size we needed and ended up having to do with taking 2-3 machines that were smaller and moulding them together to get what we needed … it cost over £100,000 and that was in 1985 or 1986… can’t remember exactly but we were lucky that all the staff and our dogs got out of there safely before it went up like a light… the roof was compressed asbestos sheets which were allowable then and they were so easy to burn like dry tinder sticks !!! ……Everyone pitched in, we got things up and running again and then things started to get back to normal again or as close as it could be ……… I love your videos Tom and it gives me A smile when I see you waist high in poop or some combination of of horrific smelly stuff …. And may I just say that I don’t read Tom. So thank you because I’ll be reading your book. I’m 24 and I live and breathe farming. I do tend to steer clear of the dairy side of farming but you definitely fill that void for me, so again thank you. I’m a fresh produce/organic grain farmer and I have adapted the TP attitude into my day to day and once again this calls for a massive thank you because you Mr Tom Pemberton have very much helped me become a better person.
