Fun note! If you want to ever 'reset' the points. (Say you're doing a monthly prize or something!) Go to your currency/rank/inventory. Open the First command. And you'll see near the bottom right "Manual Reset". Click! Yes! Done~

💯! you can also make it auto reset every month or year as well if you want to do that prize on a regular basis :)

Hey I've seen some streamers have the name of the user on the first redeem channel reward on twitch as '' user was the first to redeem first'' so when someone goes to redeem it and if it's already redeem they see who redeemed it first. Is there a way to do this in mix it up ?

Yea there is! You would create a true/false special identifier called something like ‘First redeemed’. The default for that should be false Then when someone redeems the first event, you would have 2 conditional statements: First one is if 1stRedeemed is set to false - alongside the normal First actions, you would make set the 1stRedeemed special identifier set to True The second conditional would be if 1stRedeemed is set to True, in which you would display that message!

Great tutorial! Is there a way to give channel points to the viewer for these redeems? For example, if they redeem first they get 500 channel points as a reward for being first? SO not only will they accumulate the number of times they were first but they get a little extra channel points as well?

Unfortunately currently there isn’t a way to give channel points through Twitch’s API 😢

Yep! Here’s a quick excerpt from the Mix It Up Wiki: “Currency Special Identifiers… These can also be used with other Special Identifiers that work for users such as Target, Argument, Streamer, & Random (EX: $targetuser____)”

Ooo not sure sorry! If you’ve made the consumable, once you add the consumable action, it should pop up. It may be a bug, I’m not too sure sorry - I would recommend the Mix It Up Discord for help if it is a bug!

hi! Thank you for this video! I have a question ! So in my channel I currently have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd channel point redemption. It's currently set up through streamer dot bot and im trying to transfer everything to one bot (mix it up) with my 1st 2nd and 3rd, once someone redeems it, it changes the channel point text to say who it was.. so example, say I redeem 1st, instead of 1st, it'll say Coach Chesney was here first! (on the channel point reward). Can this be done in mix it up?

Yes it can! You would create three special identifiers/text files of something like 'FirstRedeemedStatus', 'FirstMessage' and 'FirstUsername'. Then on the First Action Group, you would have a boolean that checks if 'FirstRedeemedStatus' is true of false - if false (the default value), you could map the username of who redeemed First to 'FirstUsername', customise the 'FirstMessage' message and set 'FirstRedeemedStatus' to true. When it is triggered again, run the conditional if 'FirstRedeemedStatus'=true , and then set a chat message using 'FirstMessage' Hope that makes sense!!

is there a way to set up a queue for channel point redemptions? For example, when viewers redeem for types of heroes to play in game, is there a setting to make MixItUp to list out all redeems in queue and remove them after the redeem has been done?

Do you mean like how the reward queue works in the Twitch dashboard? I don’t believe so from a UI perspective. But I think you could somewhat manage it from a text file, reading, writing and clearing lines, but think the native Twitch dashboard element would be best :)

Within Mix It Up you can use the currency to redeem things within the chat bot, however with this one, I like it just to keep track - the counter in itself can become a friendly competition with the community :)

Within the Currency command you should be able to deduct amounts! And then you can duplicate the same First logic :)

Find this video 2 days ago. How do I add a first to someone that missed the first reward? My chat only says the user can't be found. Do I have to be live to be able to give out first rewards?

You shouldn’t have to be live for the command to work. Can you try and using the command on yourself? I’m also pretty sure you do not need an @ at the start of the username if you happen to be adding that. If that still doesn’t work, there is a manual way to do it by going into your Users list, selecting the user and going into the inventory tab (I believe that’s what it is called off the top of my head, apologies as I’m not in-front of my computer!) If all else fails, can always join the Discord and share some screenshots :)

You can add actions within the Event ‘End Stream’ (or it might be called Stream End, not sure in the specific language). I would then put any ‘reset’ actions within that event :)

Great instructions! Everything is working except, I have one user that they amount wont update for. They are supposed to have a currency of 5 but its staying at zero. This user is a subscriber and a twitch VIP. Ive test others, adjusted permissions. And still doesnt work. Anyone?

Hmm that’s very weird. Have you tried going into the list of all Users from the sidebar, finding them and manually assigning them to see if it fixes the issue?

That’s very weird. I would delete the user within Mix It Up and when they watch again, manually add them back- seems like some weird bug since it’s only that specific user!
