Indoor farming has been a word of mouth these days, not just it brings out the best skills and talents farmers has, but it also creates continuous cycle of life. Goals:Eradication of poverty, Culture appreciation, Hunger proof and 0 losses for produce and foliage. Value of life a reality.

Literally any blue/red spectrum light (4000-6000K) can do it for plants that don't require to flower.

The scary question: how much is this tech? I like to buy a single light bar to test; then, move up (if it's as magical as you present it to be) 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🙈👍🏼👍🏼

Beautiful video. Is there something about plants that get's lost when we grow indoors? What about bacteria, fungus, and other hangers-on? Maybe this is the wrong forum to ask such questions.

The plants are growing indoor in a controlled environment where we give the plants exactly what they need to grow in an optimal way. We take all the good factors from outside inside the farm and let the plants grow without any signs of stress. And because the environment is so controllable it is possible to have a much lower fungal and bacterial level on the plants. If you’d like more information, you can also pay a visit to www.philips.com/horti.

At least somebody is using their brain and is asking intelligent questions. Yes, plenty is lost when plants are grown indoors. They lose natural and evolving biodiversity of HEALTHY MICROBES that our bodies need to build immunity! And the retards at Phillips Horticulture are stating that the plants show no signs of stress. They think that's smart. The plants need to stress to grow stronger just like humans need to stress to grow stronger. The more you take away from the diet, the weaker your system becomes. Read about hormesis. These people are toxic idiots. It's all about the money, not making people healthier.

+kutamatah robots are more energy efficient than humans. If you think about how much food and water a person consumes to fuel the body and how that food is farmed, the water produced, a robot will come out more energy efficient than humans. just saying.

In the west, 1. We are already over-reliant on non-sustainable energy to grow food. 2. We end up throwing up to 50% of it away, mostly because of over-production. 3. We face critical levels of unemployment. So a factory that builds lettuce, by itself, without sun-light is the answer. Of course. How far we've come...

1. Green energy is on the rise 2. This is partly true but most of the products are ruined by crop failure

I tend to think of operations like this as brain dead. Technology for the sake of technology. I grow microgreens in my basement with some window light and some lights that are on 50% of the time for 13 hours. See my videos.

The comments I have seen here suggest that this entire system relies on artificial light, with no natural sunlight. In fact, this lettuce spends most of it's time in natural sunlight. The moving gutter system that you see at the end is a greenhouse. Greenhouse is natural light intensive. The only part of the process that is artificially lighted is the germination.
