Dinner/lunch idea - Rice bowls! I usually make mine with whatevers in my fridge, just using rice as a base for things like fried or boiled egg, leftover chicken, avocado, other veggies (potatoes, carrots, broccoli whatever) with any sauce! its super customizable and even more friendly to using whatevers in ur fridge

we are basically on the exact same level when it comes to cooking and let me tell you, get an air fryer!! totally changed the game for me. super easy to make things and some of my favs have been salmon, potatoes, green beans, little pizzas, chicken, etc. so many options & it makes me feel excited to cook which has never really been the case before!

A really simple meal that is so beginner friendly and sparked my love for cooking! Salmon, rice, and mixed veggies! I started with just the bags of frozen salmon you can buy and steamed veggies/rice and eventually started making it all fresh. It's so rewarding the more you learn and I recommend :)

Yesss that is my favorite dinner ever!!! Another quick dinner I make for myself is fried rice with an instant pack of white rice & frozen veggies & soy or whatever sauce u wanna use. I scramble in a little egg and it’s perfect and takes legit 10 mins

When I moved into my first apartment I literally searched on KZbin “cheap dinner ideas” and watched like three of those videos and wrote down some of the ideas. Affordable dinner meals are generally only a few ingredients and super simple and easy so I definitely recommend just searching some of those up and writing down the ideas that look best

Ava you are truly inspiring to me - I love how vulnerable you are in these vlogs! I've been trying to move out of my parents on my own for awhile (got approved for my very first apartment this morning!!!) and these vlogs have been so amazing because you share the fun stuff (like grocery hauls and decorating) and the hard stuff (the emotions good and bad that come with leaving family and dogs) and it makes me feel less alone in these feelings. I know that I will be replaying them when I am moving because you make it feel like we are literal friends talking to each other which is so comforting somehow. Love these vlogs and you! Thank you for all you share here with us❤

I love doing "shirazi" or Mediterranean salad, which is literally just diced cucumber, onion, and tomato with lemon juice and olive oil. I like to add walnuts and feta sometimes too! Can be eaten on its own or in a pita/wrap. Super SUPER easy and beginner-friendly :)

i absolutely love these types of vlogs (length, content, all that good stuff). also just totally obsessed w you and your energy so you could be talking abt anything for 30 mins and i'd watch. sidenote: i know content like this obviously takes longer to produce because it's a longer video, but i am in love with a 30 min vlog type beat. also THANK YOU for not just showing highlights. part of why i love you so much is all your "older sister" advice and it's easier to listen to that advice from someone who is experiencing it not someone who's already past it. in it together :)

fun fact - vegetables don't exist botanically! it's only a culinary term! everything we think of as vegetables are the fruit (cucumber, tomato), root (carrot, radish), flower (broccoli), stem (celery), or leaf (lettuce, cabbage) of their respective plants!

Loving this move-in series! The aesthetics are immaculate ✨ Also, as a fellow 21 y/o, here are the meals that save my life: - tuna fish with mayo and sriracha with nori snacks and avocado - chicken with basil pesto, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella - bake in the oven for 220°C for 25 mins (chef’s kiss) - microwave cauli rice, airfried (or grilled) shrimp, eggs (sunny side up), diced bell peppers (sautéed in a pan) - a lil charcuterie board (parmiggiano, salami, olives, sundried tomatoes, prosciutto crudo, etc) - boil some eggs, dice and add creamcheese and some chili flakes, i usually add them to lettuce wraps and have them with some sriracha but you can add them to anything Hope this helps 💗

i love meal prepping burrito bowls!!! just rice, beans, a protein, and whatever toppings you want! I usually do tofu, hot sauce, avocado and cheese! they're also super easy to switch it up and do different proteins to make it feel like you aren't eating the same thing all the time! also I love a squash, zucchini and spinach feta casserole! all you do is dice up and sauté the squash and zucchini, sauté the spinach, and mix together all the sautéed veggies with 2 egg whites, feta & parm cheese! then just throw it in a casserole dish, top with panko bread crumbs and more parmesan (if you like) and bake at 400 F for 35 ish mins - its super easy!!! hardest and longest part is cutting the veggies

My favorite easy meal is rice bowls!! Basically just any protein + veggie with rice and some sauce/seasonings! Recently my favorite go to has been kale (cooked in coconut oil), tofu (marinated in teriyaki + cooked on the stove top to crispen it a bit), and rice topped with roasted chickpeas (to add some crunch- seasoned with paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic powder)!! It may sound complicated but its super easy to make all the stuff ahead of time/when you have time and then just throw it all together!! Maybe a fun video idea would be to try out our recipes for a week to see what kind of cooking you like??? (or secure a brand deal with hello fresh because they're great!!)

for meals for beginners, zoodles are amazing ( they are needles but made with zucchini and a spiralizer) but like with any sauce and protein its a great way to get you're veggies in as well :)

here are some easy dinner ideas! quesadillas (I like putting black beans/sauteed veggies like peppers, onions, spinach so they are more filling and you're getting some more nutrients) eggplant parmesan soup and grilled cheese (a classic) black bean burgers portobello burgers (definitely marinate the portobellos before cooking) burrito bowls stuffed peppers

ava!!!! hands down the best easy+healthy+fast dinner EVER is a one-pan meal. just get whatever veggies you like or have in your fridge( I know you struggle with this but even some mini sweet bell peppers are great ) and pair this with a protein of your choice, season up with simple stuff like garlic and fresh herbs. my personal fav combo lately is salmon with broccoli and baby potatoes. roast at 375 for 25-30 mins and you're set! another tip is you can have some rice made or quinoa to serve it up with so its more satiating, or even a greens base! tbh the leftovers for this make the perfect lunch bowl the next day. ( you can even mix it up in some pasta is seriously so versatile ). another little tip is to have a pre-made sauce to drizzle on, this can be your ranch lol or you can experiment with a thai peanut sauce which is super beginner-friendly and keeps well in the fridge. :)

You should try making rice bowls for dinner! You can add chicken, broccoli, rice, chickpeas, etc!

My fav is roasted veggie tacos! I just throw a can of corn, a can of black beans, a diced bell pepper, and a diced onion on a sheet pan. Sprinkle a packer of taco seasoning over it. Then I put that in the oven at 400 for 20 minutes, stirring it at the 10 minute mark. Scoop it into a tortilla with whatever toppings you want, and you have yummy veggie tacos! Good for beginners, especially those who are nervous about cooking meat!

single serving of rice, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, sprinkle of sesame seeds, sprinkle of chilli flakes, tsp butter, one egg. place butter on warm rice. allow it to melt while you fry an egg, place fried egg on top of rice, add remaining ingredients, mix thoroughly, enjoy. I absolutely love this very easy dish. i like to add fried shallots in, others enjoy a sprinkle of seaweed.

Ava,for an easy dinner idea Quesadillas:2 tortillas,cheese of choice(and if you want more pit toppings on it such as mushrooms,avocado,nopales,etc) How to make it:on a skillet or pan turn it to high temperature and heat the tortillas until they are soft,then put the cheese on both tortillas and lower it till medium low temperature wait until the cheese it’s slightly melted then join both of the tortillas,after that rise the the temperature too high,the quesadilla is done when both sides of the tortillas are golden and crispy

Recipies ideas: -Rice with tuna (using canned tuna makes recipies easier, and quicker) -Rice with burger (cooking burgers, then using them throughout the week is an easy way to have protein ready for a meal) > you can also add any side vegeatbles for both recipies (side salads are great and simple: lettuce & olive oil) -Sandwich with Tuna, lettuce, cheese, etc. (sandwiches are easy meals as you can put anything you want in them)

I love making “fried” rice! boiling a pot of rice is super easy and after thats done I just dump it all on a pan, add soy sauce, onions, and scrambled eggs (sometimes shrimp too) and mix it all together!

One of my easy faves to do for dinner is to make a greek salad with chicken! I just cook some chicken tenderloins in a pan and add lettuce (or whatever greens I have/like), cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, kalamata olives, bell peppers peppers, and feta cheese. I either make a lemon viniagrette (lemon, honey, red wine vinegar, olive oil, parsley) or just buy a greek dressing. Super easy and healthy! Also - love the long vlogs :)

I sometimes make noodles with garlic all mushed up stir fried in sesame oil with some chilli flakes (if you can handle spice) and add in the boiled noodles and finish up with soy sauce (both light n dark) a dash of both depending on your taste :3

philly cheesesteaks, chicken salads, tacos/burritos, and hamburgers all tend to be really good and beginner friendly since you can jazz it up with toppings or sides like rice, potatoes, and fries. i love love love the little potatoes that come in a package with seasoning on it already. im not sure if they have it hawaii but its good to check. also tiktok and insta pages are good to watch on food

okay girl that dinner was a cry for help heres my fav easy meal that i make like every week: - rice (you can get 90 second microwavable quinoa and brown rice packs that are clutch) - canned black beans - canned corn - avocado - roasted veggies or sweet potato cubes (cut, put on baking sheet and cover with olive oil and seasoning- roast at 425 until crispy) - sauce on top (i mix sour cream, taco seasoning, and milk to get it pourable) - just put everything together in a bowl and heat it up and pour the sauce on top. pls try its so yummy and good 4 u :)

my parents own a wine business so i know a bit about wine stuff. so ur supposed to spin the glass a bit when you first get the wine, because it allows air to go into the wine after it's been in a bottle for a long time, and you want more air in the wine because that's how it shows its full taste. the legs are from the air going into the wine :)

meal idea (I cook this in my dorm): burrito bowl -brown rice (or whatever u like) -corn -black beans -peppers -lettuce -salsa -crushed up tortilla chips or tortilla strips -nutritional yeast (or reg cheese) 1. cook rice 2. open cans of beans and corn 3. cook said beans and corn 4. mix rice, beans, corn together 5. cut up as much peppers as u want. mix with step #4 6. add lettuce, salsa, tortilla chips, cheeese on top 7.done

I recommend maybe trying out a hello fresh/dinnerly/blue apron type subscription for a bit. Choosing meals from a predetermined list for the week (and getting to choose a few weeks in advance) really helped me plan actual meals since my least favorite part of cooking was deciding what to cook. It also taught me some of the basics of cooking weather it was flavor combos or the order to prep things in. I did it for about a year before I "graduated" and felt better doing it on my own and for me that was worth the splurge for the service!

Super easy dinner idea:baked open half of a butternut with creamed spinach on top (you can do this with potato as well and add chickpeas, cheese, lentils, ground meat as the topping/filling)

honestly, taco salad, is a no-brainer, easy, delicious meal. and you can sub ground beef for so many different things (chicken, beyond meat something, beans), add corn or make it different in many other ways so it doesn't get boring.

One of my fam and easy recipes is to put a chicken break into a glass pan, smother it with a bbq sauce, toss a piece or 2 of bacon, top with cheese (and pineapple if you like it) and put it in the oven @400 for 30 minutes, depending on your oven! I have it with roasted potatoes, or rice, and some sort of roasted veggie!!!!!

stir fry is my fave staple dinner idea! all you need is noodles and chuck whatever veggies, proteins, seasonings you have in there and I promise it will be good!

I have the same concern when grocery shopping Bc I don’t want food to go to waste! But you can pop bread, meat, and pretty much anything else in the freezer then take it out when you want to use it :)

SUPER EASY lunch/dinner recipe is a chickpea salad! you can play around with the ingredients but I like to use these: chickpeas right from the cans, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, yellow bell pepper, black olives, lemon & salt/pepper Just cut up the veggies, mix it into the chickpeas, squeeze your lemon, and add whatever seasoning! 🫑🍅🍋💚✨

I LOVVEED this vlog! Week in my life is my favorite. We get a little glimpse into each day, without you having to be glued to the camera all day, each day! Would love to see more. One of my favorite, easy dinners is veggie stir fry over rice. There are so many ways to buy stir fry veggies either prepped in the produce or freezer section. Add some bottled stir fry sauce, and you’re done. Easy, fast and delicious!

I love to just make one or two wraps for lunch and dinner time. It’s easy to make if you just always have some tortillas at home. Then you can just fill them with any leftovers and let me tell you it always turns out delicious.

Vegetable stirfry is pretty easy! You can get frozen stirfry vegetables and just warm them up and make some rice! Super easy and yummy!

Best thing to buy for cooking on amazon is the meat thermometer you can put in the oven and it beeps when the meat hits the right temp so you never get food poisioning

Hey, I sometimes struggle with figuring out what to eat also. I'm 27 with a three year old just for reference. Not only do I have to feed myself but my child as well. Meal ideas are stressful sometimes for me as well....the struggle lol. If you like alfredo you could probably try chicken alfredo. You don't have to make it from scratch if you don't want to. You cab buy the sauce in the bottle and you can find chicken that's already cooked that you just add to your food and put the meal together. Boil your pasta/spaghetti or fettuccine(whatver you prefer, strain, and your sauce to a pan..season if you'd like.. and chicken to heat up and add pasta

Have you tried something like every plate or hello fresh? Those are such great ways to get into cooking and learning what flavors go together plus they’re super easy to do because the directions are short and helpful!

burrito bowls! you can add any protein you want (chicken, beef, etc) (tofu is also good!) and just add brown rice and simple veggies like red onions, corn, tomatoes, lettuce, cilantro, etc

Hey Ava, for beginner cooking, I always recommend buying weekly staples so you always have a meal to cook. For example, I always have on hand: - Jasmin rice - Sweet potatoes - Avos - Lettuce/greens for salads - Eggs - Chicken breast - Salmon - Ground Turkey - Reg potatoes and there's always a meal in there. Get on Pinterest and look up some easy/healthy meals, and play around with bases/sides/protein, because you'll always be able to mix and match with multiple starches, veggies, and proteins!

You can use pinterest for meal ideas, I always look on there when I don't know what to cook. And for me as a dutch girl it is very normal to just eat potatoes, meat/veggie option and vegetables as dinner. Super easy!

Tacos and taco bowls are SO quick and easy for dinner!! One of my favorite dinners for when I don’t know what to eat and it’s very customizable. Turkey or beef for meat, and rice or sweet potato, lettuce, cheese, etc.

Hi some dinner ideas I started eating when I moved into my apartment this year are chicken in the oven and some roasted veggies of your liking. Also soup that you can just throw in a crockpot and let cook all day. Or also in the crockpot chicken with cream cheese and olive garden dressing and then shred that and then put some noodles in!
