A Game Day in the Life: University of Minnesota Marching Band

A very special day in the life as a member of the University of Minnesota Marching Band on a typical gopher gameday experience. tstanton_ _ I used to run a GoPro Hero 5 Black on my earlier Marching Band and Drum Corps videos. I’ve since replaced it with the newer GoPro Hero 7 Black, and it’s an awesome camera! Thanks to the integrated stabilizer function, and shooting in 4k is amazing.

​@@AModelerInCollege Thank you for replying! I'm currently on the fence of what kind of camera I want to buy in the future (and yes I do want to use it in band 😂) Also what corps did you march in? I did DCI last summer with Spartans and it was the best time i've ever had!

tstanton_ _ Marched River City Rhythm 2017-2018. For a camera, if you want to stay in the GoPro system then I recommend the Hero 7 Black, since it’s a really good camera with the features I mentioned before and have replaceable components like lenses and cases. The Hero 8 looks nice and innovative, but it’s still very similar to the 7 in most aspects. Also the Hero 7 Black has a price drop applied since a new one came out. If you want something non-GoPro, there are other cheaper options through Amazon. It’s just depends on your preference on features you want, and usability.
