Alexandra your videos are amazing in that I am never left wondering what a property really looked like or what was that tree, object, building that I caught in the corner of the screen. The way you orientate the viewer and Lee’s us through and the questions you ask the host and gardeners leave me very satisfied as if I was there myself.❤️🌸❤️🌼

My house doesn’t even have an architecture. I did notice though that i kept trying to make the garden elements symmetrical and it never looked right. I decided it must be because my house is asymmetrical. We have a Margate here in New Jersey US as well. I like yours!

The colours inside the home are lovely and feel historic - I tend to stay with the garden as that's what this channel is all about, but perhaps I should include the occasional interiors shot when it's appropriate to the garden.

@@TheMiddlesizedGarden Thanks, but I truly feel that the way you keep the focus on the garden is the best approach. You choose such spectacular locations, and we learn so much from your presentations! My comment was just a fleeting, wistful thought because **this** particular place made me wonder if they owners had kept much of the interior features that evoke times past. Don't change a thing! I can't imagine how laborious it is to film and edit "just the gardens" as it is! Much love and admiration from the mid-Atlantic coast of the USA!

This is a wonderful take on how to approach renovating or maintaining an existing garden which so many of us do when we buy a house. I've learned so much in one short video and I'd love to visit Margate as well. The plants in this garden remind me of the tropical feel of Jack Wallington's beautiful (former) London garden. He grew tropical plants for quick growing and lushness. Thank you so much for this visit to a local historical treasure!

Yes, I see that it is considered invasive in North America, but in the UK it is only hardy in the mildest areas, such as in coastal towns, so it doesn't have the same ability to spread.

How about getting a 'body perm' on the largest rollers for your lovely hair? It did wonders for smoothing out my own fine, thinning hair and added a youthful bounce, my stylist added a few long layers to add more fullness. I set it on velcro curlers while it's still damp and let it air dry, style it then add a little soft hairspray. It's a miracle. I look like I have 3 times as much hair! And, the style lasts for several days--each day looking a little different than the previous but still great. But, you need to set it or the waves from the curlers are obvious, which may not bother some people. I hope you don't take offense at this suggestion, Alexandra.

I'm sure he didn't mean any disrespect. He was probably just trying to explain that the garden had been loved and cared for by the previous owner for a very long time but that age/infirmity had prevented her from laterly giving the garden the attention it deserved.

@@ellie.l6585 I had the same reaction---I envisioned a sweet, old lady in a big sunhat who probably cared for this garden since its infancy and lovingly tended every plant and every shrub for many, many years. A woman, aged and slow because time waits for no one, but one who is content and fulfilled by knowing that caring for living things other than oneself is the ultimate act of love. The image gave me great joy. Old is not an insult.
