Now for smaller channel catfish my favorite bait is triple s bloodbait and secret 7 cheese bait and cjs punch bait works well

Id have 3 rods only 1 the front, then left then right. Each line different distance. I'd have an awful time with all those rods. If no bites in 15 minutes move spots. Going to new spot I'd have the set up of rods different distances not the same as before. Doing this worked for me. I mainly fish from the shore. I went to a family camp years ago then used method described that worked. I'll do the same idea from the shore. 1 rod I'll tie a dropshot with a bluegill or sunfish and find current if any or dark shaded areas when it's hot generally catfish like not well lite areas. No bites in 10minutes then move if I get bites and land fish ill stay another 5 minutes 15 minutes in total.
