This movie makes my heart run fast, as i am watching it all comes back memories of my own story, as young girl in Mogadishu when the War began. I have lost my parents and a only brother and i was orphaned as the result. A year later trapped in the burning city hopeless and scared,me and some relatives who was caring for me finally got the chance to leave. We arrived in Kenya although I have never being in the refugee camp,I had terrible experience in Kenya, Kenya wasn't welcoming Country and the police were going door to door hunting immigrants, although i was living with family members who were Kenyan citizens, with no document in hand we scapped once more to South Africa, and lived there for 13 years, from there i immigrated to the United States, but recently came back to homeland Somalia 🇸🇴 So this's not a movie, but really and result of War torn people, it doesn't matter where they call home, war is terrible thing, may God help those who are in similar situations 🙏

I am Irish, from Dublin, & this film makes me proud of my people for our welcoming kindness. Truly the people who were there for Ifrah did a wonderful job of building her up with loving healthcare & educational support, but to me the most important gift they gave to Ifrah after all she had taken from her, was the fact that they listened to her & allowed her to speak ...they gave her a voice, a home & a purpose. 💚☘

From refugee to finding citizenship in Ireland. God took care of her all the way 👏🏾 👏🏾

went through fgm when i was 6 yrs with razor blade too 😢 remembering it makes me cry .i was raised my grandma and she said it was traditional to do that i remember it was me and my sister and several other girls in our neighborhood.i remember the first girl they cut she was overbleeding coz she was cutted in a wrong way . some women holding us down to be cutted screaming with pain .they poured some herb there and they tied our legs together. and i was in the same condition as that girl who didn't pee remembering my smotach getting bigger and coz peeing was very very painful 😢and that ends with me never letting my daughters go through what i went through

Oh this touched my heart and I'm so glad I watched it, I'm from South Africa 🇿🇦 Ifrah somehow looks like our very own actress Thuso Mbedu. I really had no idea such things are conducted out there ,yes I know some but not this, now I'm investigating to know more🥺oh the pain and trauma those kids went through. Some practises are not accepted at all, I wouldn't allow this no matter the belief or religion. The moment she asked "are you from Somalia?" Then they cried 🥺I cried too. I love the women they became❤️it was worth the watch, thank you.❤️

May God bless you and help you in each step. Greetings from Egypt

A battered and bruised soul landed in Ireland. The country showered on her compassion aplenty to heal herself, and elbow room to let her flourish as an individual. She, too, showed extraordinary strength by eventually becoming the voice for the voiceless! What wonders can a touch of humanity can work! Kudos to Ireland's welcoming ways and Ifrah's resilience!!
