@@r1ko Hi Eric. Trouble with Okinawa is that it's been fished out pretty badly around most of the main island (where I am these days). The outer islands of Okinawa (50-400km away) are much better, with many, many more fish. It does pick up in the Autumn though, if the Mahi decide to come in close in their big schools.

That's a real pity. Do you think it could be managed in a way to bring it back? 50-400km is a fair hike.

Probably easier for me to move back and live on one of the outer islands again - could be a retirement plan. ps got a small Spanish today(on the jig!), so it's not totally fished out, unless that was the last one!.@@r1ko

Cool hat! Like penn gear as well, I always thought Spanish were same as our kings but actually they are different species? Have different Latin names? Tomatoe ? Tomotoe? Either one makes a good steak on the grill whatever ya call em, Cheers man! Stay after em.

Haha thank you. So I've done it again, spreading misinformation 😊 I remember seeing that too and totally forgot. Thanks for the reminder. Scomberomorus Cavalla (king) vs Commerson (Spanish).

@@r1ko nah man! They look the same! Would have never thought they were different until I saw the genus (???) names you got there! Cheers man
