If you hold the cat staff in your off hand and press the action 1 button (H default) you can make it become a backwards staff and you can use it to travel faster. If you also hold it in your offhand and press shift + H it will become an umbrella.

There is also a lot of useful information on your phone. To get it, take your hero weapon and press Shift + Weapon Mode (M by default), and then select the icon with three stripes. There is information about hidden abilities, improved suits and much more more You can also choose skins for weapons, armor, particles and much more using the /miraculous preference command

About being kicked out by a wolf. What version of the mod are you using? Just as far as I remember this was fixed in the newest fix
