Good evening sir, Today’s motivational quote is “Believing in yourself is the first secret to success.” Editorial is related to India’s and the U.S.’s stand for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. In my opinion:- PM Narendra Modi and U.S. President Joe Biden have met before the 2+2 dialogues and discussed matter related to strengthening the defence sector of both country. The United States, which has clearly opposed the Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, has tried to convince India to support its decision while India has cleared that it would take decision independently whether it will support Russia or not. At present, the United States has made several sanctions on Russia due to which all country including India have been experiencing huge losses for long time. There can be no denying that Russia is the country that had supported India many times even in 1971 Indo-Pak war when most of the countries were opposing India’s stand related to emergence of Bangladesh. It is true that the United States often wants its development/benefit so now time has come to act together or take decision independently. The United States has many times said that it wants to resolve Kashmir issue and if India and Pakistan give consent, it will help resolve the issue as soon as possible, however India has often rejected its request and assured that the issue will be addressed soon as it has been totally focusing on building good relation with Pakistan. During the pandemic, the United States was the country that had warned India if it doesn’t provide hydroxychloroquine, India will have to face negative consequences in upcoming days so it is obvious that if India wants to show its power at the global forum, it must work on how to become self reliant.
