A grading company got robbed. ACE grading theft an inside job?

I had £1700 worth of cards stolen. ACE are arguably the most respected UK grading company. The quality of their slabs is a lot better than any other UK or US company in my honest opinion, albeit they do not hold as much value as the US companies who have been around for a long time. They have refunded me for the full value of my cards although I do understand not every person who lost cards have had the same luck. It does seem their security for inadequate and if they do survive as a company they will need to improve in this area. I would certainly grade with them again because I love their slabs but will probably hold off for a while.

The issue is that they have never run the company properly, it was always about getting famous not about actually creating a professional business. Its very clear they didn't hold the cards in a safe unlike other UK companies.

UK has to be tricky af. I'm in Italy and anything coming to me from the UK or the US all has to go through customs, so I can't imagine these guys are getting much business from the EU. Honestly grading is such a PITA in Italy that I just submit cards whenever I happen to be traveling in the US on business.

So news companies are saying he is claiming for £250,000 yet according to the email I got, all the cards were ungraded and only a small amount were stolen 🤔 I have the emails for proof also

There are a few grading company’s In the UK, with MGC, Ace Grading, tree frog grading etc. Ace Grading has been good with me, no problems at all, Ace Grading need better security and more check, I think they have learned a lesson from this.
