Hey, I just (re)installed the ECS diverter valve spacer. Easy bolt on mod, adds a slight blow off sound. You definitely want to turn Soundaktor off completely to hear it. Another great GTI vid.

Guy who bought my car over a year and a half ago is still on this exhaust and has had no issues. No cracking or damaged pipes etc. he just installed a downpipe on the car too and doesn’t sound half bad. I would send it and go for it! Good budget exhaust

This will not cause a cel because I’m still utilizing the stock downpipe. For clamps I know summit racing sells some nice t bolt clamps for exhaust. However if you tighten each clamp as much as possible you’ll get away with it not giving issues

No real drone tbh it’s very comfortable driving at all rpms. Now it still has a stock downpipe so I’m sure with an aftermarket one it would drone

I just installed it sounds great but the fitment from the adapter to the stock down pipe was a little loose do you know what clamps I should get so I could get a nicely clamped down?

I run EQT on both my gti and s3 and the tuning has been phenomenal. 30ish drag strip passes on the s3 and no issues at all. Very hard driving with the gti and 0 issues. Great power and great customer service. Highly recommend

Correct! Haha so tbh even this setup isn’t too loud. The muffler setup will give a nice light tone and aggressive when you step on it

Surprisingly the clamps have held up. I actually Checked them about 2 weeks ago they’re still super tight and 0 exhaust leaks. You gotta play with them a bit and tighten them as much as you can(do not hit it with a massive impact they may break) and they work well

I almost went CTS because I loved the sound in videos but it was a little to loud from what I heard and wanted something more quiet and from videos I heard this one def was a bit more tame

Hey, I just bought this exhaust and I'm trying to piece it together but I am confused on the round/oval little rubber thing. Where does that go or connect to?

There’s an extra hanger on the rev 9 catback that the stock one doesn’t have. When you piece th exhaust under the car you’ll see that there’s a hook for the hanger to go to that isn’t used with the stock exhaust. Can’t miss it. Once you take off the stock exhaust and start putting the new one in you’ll get to the part where you see where it goes

0 issues at least in my state. This still retains the stock primary and secondary cats. Unless you’re in California you should have 0 issues

Not 100% sure I would say no most likely due to the 8v being AWD and the driveshaft being in the way the exhaust has to curve differently to clear everything
