I wish you didn’t feel the need to apologize! I love hearing from you. You are such a great, trusted reviewer and I know if you could do more, you would! Life interferes! Desperate for wallet that does carry at least eight cards and bills (that also carries change and receipts but maybe should get separate tool for that). I can’t wear in my pocket. So super slim doesn’t matter to me. Being able to hold securely what I need is. Knowing me, if in pocket I’d be robbed. NYC girl. Sometimes the magnetic closures, which I don’t like, prevent me from going through turnstile at subway. Don’t want bills in front. I do want something durable and doesn’t look bulky. I’d rather do something larger and not ruin my cards and carries enough. No need for fancy closures though I wonder if I should look for a wallet with closure (dopp kits are also my nemesis. Can’t find one that doesn’t leak. And too small doesn’t cut it. Must stand up)….thank you for your thoughts!

Thank you very much for your kind message. You're right, no need to apologize. I just have seen how low my views have become and the occasional negative comment sometimes get to me. And doing some self reflection of the channel, I correlate those lower views and subs to my irregular output and style of content at the moment. To answer your questions : I kinda need to think about it, because I don't know that many wallets that fit that description. Right from the top of my head I can think of that code of bell apex wallet sling. If has room for coins, can be secured with its carabiner or worn as a sling. But obviously you can throw it into a bag. It's not pocketable, but I assume that still Isn't something you need? As for dop kit. I haven't traveled in a long time. And I always have a few tricks to keep everything from spilling, since I also don't really trust dop kits as well. Let me get back to you with a recommendation if I can think of one

I’ve been using the Patagonia 3L Black Hole Cube for years now. I don’t think it’s fully leak proof but it’s pretty darn close, I’ve never had any leaks myself. It’s made of a very water resistant material. It stands up and has carabiner loops to hang from gear or in the car/tent or in a bathroom. It’s not fancy but it’s solid.

As dop kit. Probably not a great wallet 😉

I’ve had this wallet for almost 2yrs, 3 cards in strap pocket 2 cards in each of the 2 front pockets and up to 6/7 bills in left side pocket folded once US dollars without any issues
@Sannanymous2 жыл бұрын
The reason why it's not closing properly for you is because you overloaded the front left sleeve with bills, if you put the bills behind in the back sleeve it would close better in that config

For wallet secrid is unbeatable.. number 2 is bellroy slim sleeve.

I use the Umbra Bungee card case. It does not handle bills well, but it's great for about 7 cards, which is plenty for me.

I know Bellroy claims this wallet is RFID protected but upon testing it’s actually not.

Thanks, William. It's a German brand called "backenpulver sponsor" and this is the "hug me" sweater

If I only used cards, this would be a great wallet. Unfortunately, I generally carry around a few bills and the possibility it may not close correctly would bother me.

I like bellroys note sleeve for that. I always carry some cash around as well and don't like to stuff them in the small slots.

My current wallet is the Bellroy Apex slim sleeve in blue. I love this wallet, I do not carry a lot of cash and only five cards so it perfect design for me.

actually Bo, you put your bills as the picture on advertisement of slim sleeve usually do, is the back left slot ones, not in the front ones. But a really great review as usual Bo! I used the classic slim sleeve as well now, and thank God i used it until now since several months ago
@Youknowthebo2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's probably better in that mentioned pocket. But I personally prefer being able to quickly see my bills opposed to having to take out all bills in public and getting the ones I need. But that's just personal preference

the colour on this video is very washed out, i have this wallet and the pepper colour is much darker in person also the inside is a very nice vibrant blue like the pics on the bellroy website. side note: the apex note sleeve is coming out soon and if it includes a section inside for flat bills like the regular note sleeve it should be a big improvement over this apex slim sleeve (personal preference of course).

Hey Bo, what if you put the bills in one of the hidden slots as is intended? Does it close correctly then? Thank you.
@Youknowthebo2 жыл бұрын
It closes a little bit better to be fair. But it depends on the amount of bills, plus you can't see how many bills you have, which to me is a bit of a hassle

@@Youknowthebo Good to know thank you. For me cash is only a backup. I put it in my wallet (in the inner sleeve rather than quick grab pocket) and I forget about it. It’s always there if I need it and personally I don’t need to see it to be reminded I have it because if I need to use it I replace the spent amount asap and ignore it again till next time. The other reason I don’t like it in the quick access card slot is it can come out when you’re pulling the card. I mean I’ve never not noticed it and lost the cash but it’s something I’d rather not think about when I’m in a hurry and just need access to a card. Thank you for the look at it though. Seeing it live has turned me off wanting one which I did. I’ll stick with the original non-magnetic version. Cheers, Christopher

looks like a nice wallet if you need to carry a lot of cards, and it looks like it will hold up and age nicely. I used to carry a small leather wallet like this years ago it was a two pocket type. I got into the Miminalist things a few years ago so much nicer not carrying a bunch of stuff. I only carry two to three cards myself (license and ATM card most of the time) since I started using the apps on my phone I don't carry that many cards I do keep my ATM card with me just in case and a bit of cash maybe twenty dollars in four fives, sometimes I like to give a cash tip. Wallets are such a personal thing it hard to find that one we like for us, LOL I have two or three myself. I got a one of those metal Ridge Wallet style card holders but it is sometimes uncomfortable in my front pocket and I really don't like the cards rubbing against each other, my favorite is my Herschel Supply Company Charlie blackout version of course, two card slots each side and a middle pocket which holds cash folded in half, unlike doing thirds with the other wallets, for my minimalist needs it works just fine. Although I will never buy any of the leather wallets you show I do enjoy the reviews and like to see what new products are out. You haven't given up on your beloved Secrid Wallet have you 😉 Cheers

Moving all cards to my phone would be cool. Still I'd be a little hesitant for security and convenience sake (ie not all places accept digital cards or apps being hacked).
@bikecommuter242 жыл бұрын
@@Youknowthebo I haven't had any security issues so far, but I do like the convenience of using my phone, I still carry my ATM card and some cash for those times for the places that don't have wireless or contactless pay methods. IF I lose my phone I can use my iPad or laptop to find it and if necessary erase everything on it. One thing I noticed is a lot of the apps I use have "wallets" built in ie you can preload a certain amount of money like you can do with Apple Cash or Apple Pay, its like a prepaid credit card. I use Apple Pay for a lot of things, groceries, gas stations to get water and snacks I also have a 7-11 store app that has a wallet built in so I can preload money . LOL I find it amusing when I look at new wallets I look to see if its RFID safe,
