This mod is a good concept but you can't make any super smelters or end-game creeper farms without so much pollution all your time is spent on filter/polution management.

Could you also do a tutorial on how to add the custom pollutants in the mod? Like Ozon, Methane, Nitrogen or something like that. Because I wanted to add some myself I just couldn’t figure it out despite looking at the guide in the mod.

To up the realism higher, they ought to add solar forcing effects too, although that would probably fall under synergistic compatibility with a dynamic weather mod and one such as tough as nails to make solar cycles affect how much warmer or cooler biomes are than their normal states. And to counter pollution, the process of trees withering away ought to greatly reduce the levels of pollution since we know plants absorb the pollution and when they die it gets returned to the ground, then perhaps algae should be added as a trait that can affect water differently depending on biome, with most of it forming at the edges of ocean biomes or areas where the seabed comes up close enough to the sea level, and the algae level causes a constant reduction in pollution levels as it does IRL. I think the reason I don't like the concept of PotR is because it only focuses on the negatives that we cause, but ignores the far more significant causes that happen regardless of our existence in nature, and also doesn't include the natural balancing that the Earth has done for ages every single time major volcanic activity happened in the past and every time the solar cycles got violent and collapsed cold ocean currents into causing miniature ice ages. "Pollution" is inexorably tied into climate, and climate affects the air quality more than the air quality affects the climate, the Sun is a very powerful engine for the climate, which is obvious and very fitting for such an immensely massive and gigantic naked fusion reactor that our microscopic blue, green and grey spheroid of dirt orbits around.

The mod is good, it's a great concept to balance out industrial development. The only problem is that, by default, any mob, hostile or otherwise, will always produce one carbon emission when defeated, This becomes an extreme problem, not just for any instance of a mob farm, but simply if a collection of mobs burn in daylight. I wen't to go turn it off so that that in particular wouldn't be so much of a hassle.

this mod kinda sucks in my opinion. i thought it would add some cool effects like dead trees, black soil, acid rain or other environmental changes. too bad it gives you slowness and posion. kinda lazy

Very nicely explained, question though, does the gasses high up in the sky eventually disappear? Or do you have to build up to the sky and suck up/build a purifier to get rid of the sky gases?

As far I know they kinda move very slowly over to one direction it's more effective to try to remove them manually

Yeah, I think you do have to remove them manually. I believe The Advanced Chimney mod adds some pipes which you can build which makes it so much easier to clear the gases in the sky :)

Not sure, but you could probably crank down some global pollution emission values and crank up pollution dissipation or absorption values to far more realistic levels, like a 100th of the pollution emissions and 1000 times the absorption and dissipation rates. I think the mod author failed their research check, we know the primary driver of climate is the sun, man barely ranks on the scale in comparison despite our immense industry, so really its far more realistic to deinstall Pollution of the Realms entirely.
