Great video, however, your comment about “this monitor may not be the best if you’re planning to work with print” is an understatement. BenQ calibrates their monitors with Pantone verifications. Pantone is the standard color system in the print industry. Therefore RGB colors are matched with Pantone colors and most of the time, most printers will convert their colors to CMYK whether printing on a high end Heidelberg printing press to a desktop photograph printer. Overall, great information. I may start putting my BenQ 2K 34” wide monitor on the market. I can’t stand using 2K when I zoom in for tight edits.

Great review, I'll purchase on soon myself. Quick question, what table are you using? I'm living abroad, so I can't just walk into the usual stores. Thank you.

Glad you enjoyed the video. The table in the video is a Trotten sit/stand desk from Ikea

Nice video. How is the coding mode? I have a BenQ GW series and am trying to decide if I should go for the RD or MA model. Both seem to have coding mode.

Mine arrives today courtesy of Mr Amazon. I’m looking forward to firing up Davinci Resolve with this Bad Boy and grading some recent projects to see what improvements I can make. My Dell 3216Q died yesterday with a red line of death going down the screen.

@frankinblackpool I was looking at the 3216Q for video editing. I use a 2k dell gaming monitor currently that's much newer than the 3216Q, but its a VA panel not IPS and the color accuracy on paper isnt as good. How did you like the 3216Q prior to the red line of death? They're decently priced second hand.

Have one thing to say about M-Book mode. Some people might say that using it is a great benefit due to being essentially a universal reference point for most of the devices out there. All Apple devices use Apple's Display P3 colour space and this M-Book mode, theoretically, targets exactly that. And in this case, I do agree that when using Apple devices and producing for the public, it makes a lot of sense. I have been using a BenQ Eye Care monitor for Coders (GW2790QT), which only covers sRGB, and it has this M-Book mode. The issue I have with M-Book mode - the colour accuracy is just way off on my BenQ monitor. I have compared M-Book mode on GW2790QT with my MacBook Pro 14 and found out that BenQ uses much darker tones than necessary. Another thing is - I have no idea how this mode shall be used. Should I select Display P3 as the colour profile for this monitor in macOS settings, perhaps? Or is it calibrated for the manufacturer's colour profile from site (Packaged in WHQL driver for Windows)? Or for that which monitor provides to macOS by-default?

How about using with MacBook? I have heard about scaling issues, Mac computers scale correctly with 2K and 5K, not 4K… but still I have some doubts. What do you think?

seems like these features are convenient for content creators, but is it also suitable for casual gaming?
@TerryX_5 ай бұрын
The monitor is suitable for casual gaming, but its definitely a monitor for creators first. For gaming, there are better monitors at this price point, but if you're after a creator's monitor, you can definitely still game on this.

Did the Monitor have split screen ?

Comparison between it and Dell U3223QE and LG UltraFine 32UQ850V is needed. Both are cheaper and from the companies that are responsible for IPS Black technology. And it seems Dell is pushing 120 Hz instead of 60 for their renewal positions so at some point, maybe next year, they're going to have updated 32 inch version with 120Hz.

Cannot decide between this and the old old Studio display, big screen that is calibrated and lots of connectivity with poor speakers, and £800 cheaper if you buy the studio with height adjustment so that means I would buy the vesa option. £400 for something that should be standard is very Apple, vs smaller with good speakers not great camera, both would need to use continuity tbh so I would need to buy and have space for external speakers on the BenQ

Damn, this monitor is good, as is the integration into macOS. I wished my BenQ Eye Care monitor had this kind of integration. The app it has is just ugly and not very stable. The design from the from is good, but damn, how bad it looks on the back... Am I the only one who is pissed off by those dirty looking ports located on the bottom instead of the back, like on Apple monitors?
