Hi there. This is my first and only machine, so I don't know how the larger throw units compare with this one. Are the only differences between an 8-mm and 15/21-mm throw the larger polishing area and total correction time, or is it more nuanced? Do you ever find the same polish/pad combo behaves differently (outside of area/time) on a small machine vs a larger one?
@millerdetailing41765 жыл бұрын
I will say you will enjoy the long throw polishers way better on those big panels and hoods. You are correct it doesn’t make much difference other than the space they cover and preference in what you like. As for pads and such no it’s whatever gets you that winning combo you think is good for you and user friendly. If your ever interested in a decent long throw the Adams swirl killer is a nice mid range to start. If your just polishing your car then I would just stick with what you have can’t go wrong with the price or the machine.

September 2022. I’m a beginner, and was ready to buy this polisher. However, Maxshine is not carrying replacement brushes for it, and I can’t locate the ANYwhere. Therefore it is a “disposable” item. This applies to M8S v 2 as well, as far as I can see on the website. They have brushes for the higher-level polishers, but even those are out of stock. I wonder if you might know if there are other brushes that would fit the M8S? Thank you very much. I am learning so much from your videos! 😊👏👏👏

I'll be correcting my car, no one else's so not being used that often. I'm gonna pair it up with a lake country orange pad and 3D1. Just light swirls here and there on my 03 lesabre. Nice light bronzemist metallic paint in very good condition so from what I've learned from you, that should be the ticket! Any suggestions for a virgin polisher? I was thinking of swapping the grease straightaway though... Only thing I was questioning is, what are the steps after I polish a panel? Do I wipe down with a IPA right away or do I wait till after I use a black pad for finishing? Things like that. Thanks!
