We're happy to have the opportunity to get to know the members of Bts better. It's not too late, is it, Army?
This video has increased our respect for them many times over. We also had difficult times as young musicians. So we could empathize with them.

Don’t worry, I cried with you! I’m a 74 year old American woman who has been living in Europe for the last 35 years, the first nine in Northern Germany and the last 26 in Sweden with my Swedish husband. BTS “found” me in 2017. (It is said that BTS “finds” you when you need them the most.) I can’t remember how many times I have watched this video with different reactors - it’s always wonderful experiencing others being drawn into the vast BTS rabbit hole! But this is the first time I’ve cried! Thank you both. Your attention, your respect and your visible emotions carried me right along with you. I’ve subscribed!

My daughter & I were blessed to be able to go to the LA, SO-FI in November 2021. It was their FIRST CONCERT AFTER PANDEMIC. We saw them 1st & 2nd night. There was reportedly 70,000 at ALL FOUR NIGHTS THERE IN CALIFORNIA!

Lucky, bet it was amazing seeing them both nights. We saw them in London in 2018 and Wembley 2019 (the day we sang to them). They were meant to come back in 2020 but couldn’t because of COVID and they never came back to Europe after that, just did multiple tours in the US and Asia instead 😭

Helpful hint for the guide: Not sure if you know.... Korean people counted age differently to others... Korean Age vs International Age - difference is 1-2 years depending on if their birthday has been.... In most older videos, including this guide, they are giving Korean ages so you will need to adjust. The members were only 13-18 years old when they joined BTS and 15-20 yo when they debuted. In Korea when you are born you are considered 1 year old. Then on lunar newyear every year you add another year to your age, no matter what your birthdate is. .... Year of birth - International age at Debut on 13June13 Jin 1992 - 20 yo Suga 1993- 20 yo Suga started with MIDI at 11 JHope 1994 - 19 yo JHope started dancing at 8 RM 1994 - 18 yo RM started rapping at 11 and was well known in the underground scene at 13 Jimin 1995 - 17 yo V 1995 - 17 yo JK 1997 - 15 yo he signed with big hit at 13 Rule of thumb - if it's before their birthday - subtract 2 years to get international age. if it's after their birthday - subtract 1 year to get their international age. The Korean Government has recently (June28 last year) brought in international age as the standard in Korea, but all older videos/ interviews/ shows, will be referencing Korean age. 💜Have a great day

The only thing I would like to add is. Jimin was chosen last and made his debut 1 month after being chosen for BTS. He was given no singing lessons and used to go back to his room and practise for hours because he asked if he could watch the 3 other vocal line having their lessons . He also had to undo his modern dance and ballet and so he could do the BTS choreography 😢 BRAVO Jimin 👏

About the 700 awards...They have constant music competitions between K-Pop groups in Korea, very unlike here in the states. Unlike in Turkey as well, I guess by your surprised faces. Thank you for your reaction. Vids about there past experiences can be quite emotional. They received so much hate, prejudice and criticism from the start and they were so young. Until a few years ago South Korea had a rather funny system for ageing. When born the baby is 1 year old. Every New Year all people would add a year. to there age. no matter when born. JK was actually only 13 years old when he joined BTS. They were all teens getting so much hate , and scorn and threats to their lives even in their own country. Many men who have achieved much less than BTS have been exempted from military enlistment as a reward for the prestige they have brought SK. The Govt didn't offer that to BTS. Catch you next time.
