As far as I know, for productivity, 10% is attributed to water (which you need), 10% of the productivity is cleanliness, and 80% is for the food bonus. Therefore, if you you use hay/sileage, it's 75% effective of that 80% food bonus per proportion. This means 60% for hay/sileage. With the other water (10%) and cleanliness (10%) bonuses you get 80% productivity. For grass it's 25%. 80% (food bonus) * 25% grass = 20% total productivity bonus. (therefore for grass the max productive is 40% (10% water, 10% cleanliness, 20% grassl. TMR is 100% of that 80% bonus. So if the cleanliness drops you'll still lose productivity (at a max of 10%). Remember you must have water for any productivity. Hope this helps!

Best thing to do stock pile silage, hay bales and straw stored in the hayloft. I use 150 of the same type of cows, takes 750,000 liters of mixed ration. I buy the 32000 liter milk tank to haul water with. Drop 2 hay bales into the self propelled mixer a scoop of silage and top off at the hayloft with straw. I use a large loader wagon to put straw down for bedding. Easy as pie. I maintain 150 cows, every time I get up to 164 I sell 14 using the Micheletto which hauls 14 cows compared to 12 for the Wilson

Having to turn the belt on for the conveyor is a good thing ! When I was making silage in 17 and had 2 side by side bins on fermented and one still raw grass while driving the conveyor onto position to unload silage it would invariably find the grass first, fill with grass and then not be able to pick up silage.

If you feed TMR to the cows, they will spill silage which you can scoop up with the Strautmann to produce more TMR. That's why the self-propelled mixer is much better.

The placeable price needs a rebalance. The prices for things like the animal pens or the farmhouse seem reasonable until you account for needing to pre purchase the land and the inevitable costs to level the area. Especially animal pens, there's no reason the field would need to be perfectly level, sheep love hills.

Great guide, can’t decide between cows and sheep at the moment 🐄 🐮 Not sure if you are aware, one of the giants designers posted on the forums this week that they will be reducing the terraforming costs for placeables 😉 From my experience with chickens, the reproduction rate is per type, not total. So with 5 of each type the rate will be slow, but you will get multiple ‘births’ at once. Also when the pen gets full, they stop reproducing :(

One thing I'll say is I ran into a bug using the ground conveyor to pick up feed for chickens. Placing the conveyor to clean the feed up automatically resulted in the amount of food still let for the chickens to eat never decreasing. I haven't tried this with any other animals, but it's something you may want to watch out for. I had chickens using the same amount of feed for over 3 in game weeks and the amount only drops by maybe 100.

Not related to this video but most recent you posted. Field flipping. So I started on felsburn on start from scratch. I took out a 500k loan and bought the Ideal 8T Harvester and 3162 45ft towable header. I bought T6.175 tractor and taw30 trailer. With the money left I bought any land I could afford that I could immediately harvest. If I could not afford the land I would do the contract. I then sold the harvest and the land. Next I bought the mega 2200 and pf1500 for fertilizer. So no I get paid to fertilize the fields I intend to harvest. I only weed if I have weed when I go to harvest. Dont worry about plowing or lime. I ignore any field that has a crop I can not harvest. My last purchase was the Quasar HS16 foldable corn/sunflower header. Currently only 48k in debt and every field I will be harvesting is 100% fertalized. Should be a good day.

The way I take the percentage rate of each type of food, is grass alone will be only 25% the hay/ silage mix is 75% for both, and TMR is 100 percent. Otherwise if the percentages were ment to be combined you would get 100 percent by skipping the mixing equipment and adding hay, silage and grass individually and get 100 percent.
@Rescueman285 жыл бұрын
I have noticed and I think that if you add all the food choices it gives them more of a variety to eat and you will not burn threw your feed as fast as rather just using one type of feed. You can test this and make sure but I seem to notice this is how it seems to work to me. Just a lil FYI for anyone if it helps.

Maybe if you feed your cows grass and hay/ silage together with TMR, the productivity will take longer to decline? As long as you keep cleanliness up to standard.

MrSealyP this is just a suggestion for your let's play. Now I'm not sure if this has already been done but let's say you do a harvesting contract but instead of selling the grain for the farmer you take all the grain and put it into your own silo then once you finish the harvest quit the contract, yes you will get no money for the contract but you could sell the grain yourself when there is a great demand and potentially make a lot more money

ALWAYS mix TMR via silos, not ground sources. Hopefully for FS20 or FS21 Giant greatly improves the terrain editor and placeables to the equivalency of the full standsrd map editor for creators. FS19 can be a huge PITA to properly place items due to lack of view ability of actual item "footprint". Late game due to various terraforming changes it can be damn near impossible to put down items in the same areas due to ground glitches and artifacts, even if the ground is return to it's original state.

I spent over a mil on 40 Holstein dairy cows 150 Saler beef and 300 Limosine beef for 490 total head. Now at the 400 cow pasture I have more manure than I can handle atm. Are there any auto loading manure spreaders? I thought my spreader would auto load if I parked it in the manure area now its park on a mountain of manure in 1 day lol. So please tell me there is and auto loading manure spreader or an easy way to get rid of all this manure?

not sure if its available for console (or if thats what you on, but guessing so, as he is) but i use a milling machine (mod item) which will pick it up and feed into a trailer, then take that trailer to the BGA. if you cant get the mod milling machine, you can still fork it into the trailers, and sell it at the BGA (you have to own the BGA.) if your short on cash you can get a loan to buy the BGA, dump your manure and/or slurry wait til midnight as thats when you get paid. then sell the BGA and repay the loan. on PC there are BGA mods too so you can place one where you want it. not sure if they are on console either sorry. but a couple options that should help you even if playing pure base game ;)
