I'm so happy that pros like yourself have joined youtube, it wasn't until I started watching pros that I realized that you really don't need 50 different brushes on a daily basis. You watch some of these beauty "gurus" when they do a tutorial and they use like 10 different brushes for their eye look. I'd much rather learn how to properly use basic brushes and move on, so I appreciate so much that you took the time to show us what we actually need. I've given my excess brushes to a friend's young daughter who was starting off with makeup, she was thrilled, and I was able to weed out my brushes to exactly the ones I need and use, which also makes keeping them clean much easier. I was tickled to see one of my favorites made your list! Thanks Caroline for another great video!

What I love most about your channel is how you convey a message. You don’t recommend 10 brushes when you can get away with a maximum of 2 or 3 for each scenario. That for me is so valuable. I have randomly bought lots of brushes over the years simply because I don’t have one that looks that shape or size and they sit around gathering dust and I stick to a few that just work for me. The explanations you gave and reasons for them all make sense to me and mirror the brushes I actually use. And you prompted me to de clutter all the brushes that I have and don’t use and streamline my collection so I’m not fumbling around and can get better results quicker. Thanks Caroline xx 😘

Brilliant. Don't like double end brushes either because of the storage issue. I apply foundation with my fingers since watching your videos and the buff in with my hourglass brush. It looks so much better since I have been doing that. My brushes are a combination of Bobbi Brown, Clarins, Kiko, Real Techniques, Boots No7 and Eco Tools. My favourite eyeshadow brush is one from lancome. I use it daily.

Such a good video. I've always used the "brush that came with" product. But over the years I've discovered many of the things you pointed out. I've gone to smaller blush & bronze brushes, very small undereye. But eye brushes remained a mystery until today. 🖌️🖍️🪠Brush on ladies!

Thank you , very informative, your video helped me understand the subtle differences 👍🙂My favs would be Eco Tools, I keep adding to my collection and they’re fantastic, very reasonable price too. We share the dislike of double ended brushes, with me always one of them is lost I just buy two identical and use the opposite heads🙂
