It's a lovely problem to have! ☺ Here in Indiana, (midwestern USA) they are endangered due to habitat loss. Many people and the state wildlife service put up nesting boxes, hoping to support their come-back. 💛

Hi Robert, thanks for another incredible video. This is very helpful to understand the animals on your live streams and I can’t wait for Gylfie & Finn, Bomber & Luna, and Mr & Mrs Kes to lay eggs. When are Willow & Ghosts eggs due to hatch? I don’t often see the kestrels on the live streams, do we know where they are staying at the moment?

Willow's first egg should hatch on Feb 20th. I've noticed both kestrel pairs scouting for nests so will be posting an update on them soon. Keep watching!

@@RobertEFuller I was thinking after I watched the video where the poor owl chick got taken by foxes that it would be nice to have a place for the birds that's fenced off so they don't have to compete with terrestrial predators. Then my sister said true wild foxes are also endangered, so I suppose they can have a forest too. Maybe if I win the lottery...

Yes lots of plans but it’s very time consuming and expensive to cover large distances with wires I would love to do stuff with badgers and otters eagles and even smaller garden birds Just a case of finding the right place and the budget to do it

Many KZbinrs have patreon accounts but I’ve never entered a donation subscription to anyone because I don’t have much money to spare. But, I’d love to donate to you to help you in your conservation work! Even if I can just contribute a small bit, it would be lovely to be able to help in the conservation effort of these lovely animals 🤗 You do such a wonderful job with all of them and it must be incredibly time consuming and expensive, and I’m sure many viewers would love to contribute and support you in your conservation work and help pay for new nest cams and the supplementary feeding for when times are tough 🙂 Something to consider, perhaps!

Apollo and Athena are up at Ashwood I see Apollo often almost every day and Athena is still around and they have been looking at the nest again recently if you watch Ashwood live cam you will probably see him especially in the morning from about 8am

@@RobertEFuller Well...yes :D Though, there's an idea for next time, before you'd name for example a new buzzard pair Mr and Mrs Buzz (the horror!) you should make a poll here or wherever and let people give suggestions and vote for other people's ideas or make new entries. I think the Community tab of your channel is capable of hosting polls like this. What do you think? Anyway, I love your videos!
