About Jiwoong's previous groups: (this will be a long comment): TW WARNING: SA, physical abuse, verbal abuse, underage abuse, and lowkey forced starving(?) (let me know if I missed anything). These situations have a lot of layers but I will summarize as much as I can (if anyone wants a more in-depth answer let me know). INX - The company treated them badly (overall staff weren't nice and threatened to get them kicked out/disband the group), didn't support them financially, did not communicate with them, left them without a place to practice, fired staff who spoke up in support/to help the members and kept downsizing their employees expecting the members to pick up the slack of not having a manager or anything. They wouldn't get payed and were expected to fund everything that the company would usually pay for + the company was supposed to buy their food and tell them not to complain when they didn't do it since they "wouldn't die from skipping a meal" (the members were not getting payed, had no money, were being forced to spend their money on company things/for the company and the company would tell them that they would get them food and then wouldn't). There was verbal abuse and threats from their CEO. Because they did not have any staff with them when they would go out and promote, they would FREQUENTLY get s*xually harrased by "fans" at events. Overall, a horrible situation. ATEEN - There was a situation where their female CEO s*xually assaulted 6 of the 10 members (2 of which were UNDERAGE at the time) and the other 4 were there and had to watch it happen at a restaurant in Japan. They reported that the s*xual assault had been an ongoing thing in the short time they were under the company (so this was nowhere near the first time this had happened). She threatened to disband the group if they said anything to anyone about the situation so they had never spoken up in fear of their dreams not working out (this is a common thing that companies threaten their artists/trainees in order to get them to stay quiet over abuse or illegal things happening in the companies). They filed this lawsuit anonymously and only a month later it was revealed that it was them. Basically, Jiwoong (who was 17-19 throughout these situations btw) has been in MORE THAN ONE company/group where he was literally abused (verbally/physically/s*xually) and I think he is one of the strongest people I know because he continues to try to achieve (has finally done it and I'm so proud of him) his dreams!!! *These situations are absolutely horrible and I'm glad everyone has gotten out of them. Hopefully idols and trainees will continue to come out with more lawsuits to stop horrible people from doing these disgusting things *Sorry for any typos and/or confusion*

Its finally here omg i wanted to sleep but i will stay up just to watch this! So excited. Really appreciate all the time youve put into recording and editing this whole thing. Seems like there was a part cut out of the guide video where matthew and hanbins friendship was explained. So Hanbin and Matthew trained together under a different company, joined seperate ones and then met again in Boys Planet. Its really sweet. (Translation made it seem like he went to school WITH that eddie guy but Matthew simply mispoke and ment "similar to eddie" rather than "with eddie". the korean words are very similar). Matthews HMC tattoo stands for Howls Moving castle bcs his mom likes the movie so much. Matthew also has another tattoo on his thigh which wasnt revealed at the time of the guide

This was a lot of fun to watch! It's interesting to see someone else getting to know ZB1 when I've been following them since the beginning of Boys Planet and I'd never been this obsessed with a kpop group before (in about a decade of following kpop pretty closely and even longer of being a more causal listener). They're a truly special group. To answer some of the questions you asked throughout the video and point some things out: - when it showed Jiwoong with Yujin, you missed it when they said "we're the oldest and the youngest" (it seems you only caught "the oldest", but Yujin is the maknae/youngest) - "Dance the night away" by Twice is the girl group song you said you've heard before and didn't know the title/artist - other songs you asked about: Super Lady by (G)i-dle and Tiger Inside by SuperM, Bouncy by ATEEZ - 57:38 here you missed where it says the song Taerae is singing is one he wrote himself about/for Matthew (btw there's a whole backstory that during their reality show "Camp Zerobaseone", that they recorded shortly after becoming a group and before debuting, there was a moment when Taerae was on camera alone to say a few words about the experience of recording the show, and Matthew was behind the camera, and Taerae looked at Matthew's smile when the sun was setting and started crying - even though Taerae usually doesn't cry easily) - usually when idols wear eyepatches it's because they've got a stye

OMG, thank you so much for posting this long reaction to ZB1. I hope you enjoyed it, I sure did ! To answer some of your questions : - I think there's a little confusion in the video during Matthew's part. Hanbin et Matthew knew each other already before boys planned as they trained together in the same company during a period of time. They became really close friends during that time and even lived together, had a friendship ring and everything. So yeah, through boys planet and ZB1 they finally got the opportunity to debut together. - btw Matthew is Canadian, that's why his English is so naturel - The HMC tattoo on Matthew is a reference to the Howl's Moving Castle by Miyazaki Personally, Gunwook is my biais. I discovered him in the first of episode of Boys planet back when it aired and he automatically became my top1 pick. He's such a talented and precious boy. Because of our age difference (I'm born in 98 and him in 05), I always look at him with a lot of fondness. I'm basically a proud mom when it comes to him, always praising him on every occasion I get. Umbrella btw 👀

Umbrella! thank you for watching a guide, they're such a fun group to know... the only thing that I hate about them is their evil company Wakeone and that they're a temporary group and we only have around one year left with them all together before they disband 😭😭 Matthew's english is good bc he's canadian and he also speaks a little french! Idols often wear eyepatches when they get styes which I think they tend to get more often then regular people bc they wear irritating makeup around their eyes almost everyday, so that's prolly why Gunwook was wearing an eyepatch.
