I am awaiting my PRS SE Paul's Guitar to be delivered. What made me choose PRS was Paul's commitment to the Luthiers art. Plus how many PRS employees stay with the company for decades. Listening to Paul you know his commitment to building Guitars that will satisfy not only customers but Paul himself. I would love to be able to afford a Core model but the attention to detail in the SE models inspires me with confidence. Other Guitar companies seem faceless. PRS IS Paul Reed Smith. Long may it be.

Paul has a level of respect for what he and his employees do on a daily basis that is rare and the evidence is in the details. Pick one of their guitars up and play them and you see and feel the quality that is present in each one. This is Guitar 101 taught by a master level teacher and builder. Everything that goes into making a guitar matters and very few do it as well as PRS. Thank you Paul for what you do and God bless you and your company!

This last December I bought myself a Christmas present in the form of a PRS SE Standard 24 (the translucent blue one.) My brain understands that this model is basically the low man on a very tall PRS totem pole but my heart and soul will never believe it. The exacting standards that Paul Reed Smith brings to the industry are very much present in even the low end models. I love this guitar so much!

Whats the history of the discovery with the fret interval distance....and in relation to the scale length...of course?

It is based on the tuning system called Equal temperament. Since instruments like pianos are tuned in equal temperament, they made the guitar frets match that. Otherwise a guitarist wouldn't be able to play with other musicians en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_temperament

I never liked PRS guitars that much, (too neat/shiny, too clean and beautifull for my taste), but I've just dicovered Paul and I like the way he talks, thinks and sees the art of making guitars.

Coated strings that sounds good would be novel. For electric and acoustic.
