The Zombie Survival Guide is a good read. I particularly like how it went into voodoo zombies and the origins of zombies. I also liked the historical legends about zombies. Makes you think twice about looking out a dark window at night.

I like how in many free capitalistic societies, the government can tell you how much you can eat, (junkfood in schools and health care denying aid based on diet) and how and where you can smoke, (second hand smoking laws), how much land you can own (land is taxed so property is never truly in the clear as well as indians kicked off of land) as well as what you can and cannot spend your money on (international tariffs, trade embargoes).
