It's just that they matched the raw mix of the instrumentals, with a full take of the singer. I mean, there is always some pressure in the studio because they charge per hour 😅 but clearlt they gave him an instruction during the take and he responds, it's so candid. They kept rolling and they could "patch" that part where he responds with another take

I’ve loved this song since it came out 36 years ago & I’ve never heard this version before or the original version until today& I love it. The only version I’ve heard was the Video version It’s as good if not better than the version & video version we (in America) all know. It’s such a cool version.
