Many comments ask about the song of the film. It is called "Fly for a while" and is composed and sang by the director of this short film himself: Guillaume Chep. The song is only used in this film and cannot be on another platform.

The way I interpret this short film is that they are both bi, through a series of events they got close and started dating. They had their coming out step by step while telling the parent (father) is the top of that. Then they move in together and have a loving relationship until one of them is getting interested in another girl, which causes a fight that in the end leads to them sadly breaking up. In the end, it shows up that they see what will happen between them, through this handshake. They hesitate for a moment, but then they smile because they know it is worth it, the journey each will pass in his own life and the loving and encouraging relationship in particular, are worth on their own. In conclusion, I loved it and it was beautifully done and acted. That's how a short film needs to look like.

you might be right.. although i got the impression that Baptiste is mostly gay, not bi. pointing out a cute girl to your h.s. boycrush is common enough, just to catch maybe a hint about what team they play for. (low risk, potential high reward). either way, this a magical film, the actor's facial expressions are so telling, so spot on.. and "fly for a while" is so good.

It makes me happy to see that this short film represents bisexuality. Very well done.

Both are bisexual. Leo already understood his bisexuality but Baptiste did not. One day they went out together for a nightclub and Baptiste got drunk. They kissed. A voir absolument!

I love this. My motto in life is, "Everything happens for a reason." Each person you meet has something significant that is going to affect your life. When they shook hands, they saw the happiness that was promised, but also the heart break that is coming. Baptiste hesitated at first, thinking he should spare himself a heart break, but he smiled. Have you ever wondered how each person you meet, decisions you made, or the mistakes and challenges you faced affected your life? All these aspects in life teaches you a lesson that leads to who you are today. This how a person grows. When he smiled, he knows that despite the sorrow that was coming, there are the lessons that he was gonna experience. They possibly had his first sexual interaction with another guy, Leo learned to be comfortable with his sexuality through holding hands in public, Baptiste finally came out to his dad(though not a positive reaction, it was a burden off his chest) and finally, Baptiste had his heart broken. Though the last part may not sound like a good thing, it enables us to become a better person. Both Leo and Baptiste grew at the end and they each have something to take away from their journey. Setbacks are necessary to push us forward in life. The two did not necessarily do anything wrong, just sometimes, people goes separate ways and that's okay. Now that they became a better person, they can finally move on to the their next relationship with the wisdom and experience they had just gained. :/ idk that's just how I saw this film lmao
