Sensational performance on this Beatles cover. Interesting story how this title came about. It was Ringo Starr who came up with it. Ringo told disc jockey Dave Hull that after working all day and into the night, he thought it was still daytime and said, "It's been a hard day." When he looked around and realized it was dark, he added, "'… night!'.

This is my second time seeing Elsa singing in the boat sessions, and she is sure beguiling! And like I Can See for Miles, A Hard Day's Night is infectious fun, how can the melody and rhythm not make you smile, tap your foot and sing along? I first heard A Hard Day's Night when I went to see the movie during its original first-run release in theatres, so it's very deep in my heart.

Great musicians! You sparkle with joy. Sina likes Ringo so much that his spirit shines thru and even her posture is the same..and the smile. Elsa’s rendition is likeable and everyone else does a good job, too. I like the tiny guitar solo, too. Indeed, short song but full satisfaction. Thanks guys, a joy 😊 It was the new wave surf in pop in GB 64-66, the music changed radically there and globally right after: short songs with great cornucopia of talents, melodies and ideas packed into songs that would now be spinned out with repetitive extension to 6 mins or more..

Ah, look at that face at about 1:00! Says it all about this song! The Beatles are my all time favorite band and their body of work will never be topped in my opinion. Sina, your homage that you pay to that iconic group is nothing short of spectacular! I was not ready for a female voice for this song, but Elsa nailed it and I’ve listened to it a few times now and really like her arrangement-I love how her voice drops off at various points and how she affects timing changes. Soooo good! Nathan has great shirts and if they were long sleeved and had Nehru collars, one couldn’t tell that they were not from 1965! Great guitar work, btw…A special nod to Nils for the bass and letting Marius ham it up with the cow bell and the camera placement! What a great way to spend 2:47 worth of time…dang…
