That’s the movie “The Pianist”! But in the movie Szpilman played Ballade no.1 for the German officer at his hiding place which is the most emotional scene in the movie. Thank you for this video. Always appreciate your description about the piece and your playing!
YuJa Wang Is great artist, should give you peace and love,

Still thinking Władysław Szpilman's performance the best. It sounds like mourning for his dead family member that he lost in the World War II. Basically this Chopin Nocturne No. 20 is describing his life too... Władysław Szpilman is the main historical character, a Poland Jewish descendant professional pianist which was featured in the most intriguing, horror and sorrow movie, 'The Pianist'. The captured scenes in the movie are spectacular, and won them lots of international movie awards. The main actor Adrien Brody, a very excellent actor which coincidently is an American Jewish descendant as well, got the trauma after finish acting for the movie and almost leaving the acting industry exclusively for his own good sake... because he feels the horror and suffer of Władysław Szpilman's past life and he couldn't bear these terrible feelings once more... R.I.P., Władysław Szpilman.
amazing!Herzlichen vielen Dank, Herr Prof. Andy! MFG Lin
OMG, Chopin did not want to publish this nocturne?! How the world could miss such heavenly heart wrenching score! I cannot hold my tears each time I heard it.
Thank you Teacher Andy for an inspirational lesson! This is one of my favourite pieces of Chopin, love the beautiful melodic line punctuating by fluid runs. I find his utmost poetic sensitivities echo the Chinese literature of poems! Once I get the music I shall start playing it. Thank you for the beautiful video again!
