Fake piercings are extremely popular among idols. There are a few who have real ones, like Jungkook (bts) and Bobby (ikon)'s brow piercings, Jay Park's nose ring, or Hanse (victon)'s lip ring, but most of them are fake.

In Korean there is no "w" sound, so Wooyoung's name is more closely pronounced as "ooyoung." If you wanna take it to google translate to give it a couple of listens, here's the hangul (우영). When korean is romanized for english speakers, a lot of names that wouldn't have consonants at the beginning were given them to make it easier to pronounce. Kind of like the sirname Lee. In Hangul, it's written 이 and is pronounced "ee."

"Maknae" (막내) is a Korean word that does not have an English equivalent and means "the youngest person in a group." So when Jongho says he's the "maknae on top" he's saying he's at the top of the totem pole in terms of skill, even though by age superiority he is at the bottom.

whenever you read their name just think of their line "a to the z", it helped me. i kept pronouncing it the same way you keep pronouncing it haha. there's something you should know as well -Yunho, san, jongho and Seonghwa were casted for the drama Imitation (its about the life of an idol and the dark side of kpop which alot of kpop stans tend to ignore) in which yunho is the second male lead called Yujin and part of the group sparkling that san and seonghwa are a part of as Seyoung and Minsu while jongho is called Hyuk and a part of the group Shax who is very popular senior group -Anews is Yunho giving news to atiny about whatever the fuck is going on in ateez, like behind the scenes footage -ateez joined RCA Records in 2020 and did a collab with Pentatonix (yunho, san and Jongho) -wooyoung is friends with yeosang TXT's Yeonjun, Stray kids changbin and now felix -Mingi loves Kim Jongkook (he is very famous in korea and used to be part of the group turbo) -they collaborated with Jongkook twice (featured him in black cat nero mv and made a summer song with him recently) -Korean atiny gave yeosang the nickname Aphrodite because of how beautiful he is -they released a game called Superstar Ateez and the members are playing it as well... they are very competitive -Hongjoong chose his english name to be Edward -hongjoong acts younger than his actual age around seonghwa since Hwa is older than him -mingi likes being called princess (not just wtih seonghwa) -yunho's mom said "isnt the atmosphere around you two heavy" because she thought Mingi and Yunho were dating -seonghwa became part of the rap line confirmed by hongjoong so now they are 3 -Their storyline consists of Ateez, Fedoraz/black pirates/HALAteez(the other version of them that can time travel and possibly a suicide squad), the grimes siblings, left eye (old crazy dude who lost his daughter), android giants (the ones after ateez), the Cromer (its an hourglass except it can be used to travel dimensions when there's a full moon or new moon), I don't remember anything else -jongho can break apples... with his bare hands.... in half -jongho can rap and is an underrated dancer this took me too long to write, there's alot more than what i wrote here, but just so you know they have a comeback September 13th at 6pm twitter.com/ATEEZofficial/status/1429095955672932354 edit: forgot to mention ateez have a lot of freedom to do what they want like getting tattoos, hongjoong has one on his ankle which is the word FAITH with wings on the "I", wooyoung has a rib tattoo "sin prisa pero sin pausa" which means dont hurry but dont stop, he also has a matching tattoo he got with san on his right thigh which is Amicus ad Aras (san's father is very strict and scolded him for getting a tattoo), they give their opinions and KQ listens to them (they also listen to Atiny) and takes care of them well, like in november they let mingi go on hiatus because of his health and since alot of atiny were demanding him to come back for the comeback in november some were scared they might force him to come back but instead of bringing him back they didnt't so he could properly take rest, then 8 months later they release a statement that after speaking with him, his parents, counselors and therapist that he was finally going to return. Hongjoong is also protective of them and shades those who speak badly about his members, like one time on vlive someone commented that yeosang was ugly and joong called them out by saying that yeosang is very handsome and beautiful and how nice he is.

omg people rarely notice Yeosangs lisp. It's actually INSANELY noticeable because it is quite large. That video didn't do it justice, but if he says any words containing S in a row, it becomes increasingly more obvious. thats crazy that you noticed right off the bat

Filial means "having or assuming the relation of a child" but its basically used as a way of describing the type of loyal, dutiful, respectful and devoted love that a child has for their parents. So Mingi was basically jokingly saying "If you refer to me as son in front of Yunho (your actual son), I'll be a devoted son until I die"
