I reckon Taliesin doesn't mind this outcome too much. I remember him saying that in many ways he fully expected Percy to have a tragic end as he felt that was what he envisioned as being the tale of Percy's life. In some ways, Molly is a tragic hero too who got the valiant death he wanted. There was no sign that Molly was afraid, he had died before and he made it no secret that he was just about living as wildly as he could while he could. Narratively, it's good, really good. When Jester, Fjord and Yasha return it'll be interesting to see their reactions to Molly's sacrifice trying to free them from Lorenzo. It'll bind the group together more I'd say as this part of the story showed the characters the real potential that they might have all lost each other.

I rushed 2 episodes past to see the conclusion, forwarding as fast as possible, barely watched an hour out of 4. 2nd episode after a comic fan drawn came about where Vax came to Molly. he said 'You remind me of my brother in law', and molly showed him his friends. he said "I'll stay with you, and show you where you need to go and guide you'. I BROKE.

I just watched the episode and was thinking how, as it was happening Taliesin seemed to be taking it the best out of everyone at the table. Then, a minute later, he leaves so that his gutwrench doesn't needlessly influence the other players decisions and result in an emotion-fueled TPKamikaze (At least that's the vibe I got). Either way, though I'm really bummed about how little of Molly's obviously very interesting story we got to see, I have to give Taliesin major props for being one hell of a mature gamer and all around person in a situation I've seen folks get their adulthood crushed by. We didn't have Molly for as long as we had Taryon, but I loved what we got. Appreciate and make the most out of the time and people you get, in game and out.

We actually got molly more than taryon. Tary was 15 eps and Molly was 26. Both amazing characters with sadly short runs in their respective campaigns

Taliesin leaving the table really broke my heart. I can't imagine what it feels like to lose a character, but I am glad he's healing with a new world within Caduceus Clay. I do wonder if he'll ever be resurrected or how the team handles it, but I don't know if Taliesin would want a resurrection?

Besides the heartache that I'm feeling, molly's death actually reminds me of Johnson's death form halo 3. Mainly the last words. With Johnson's "Send me out with a bang" and Molly's *Spit blood in the face of my killer as my last act of defiance*. I don't why Molly's death remindend me of that, but it did.

Molly didn't need to die, but it was going to happen after they decided to attack vastly outnumbered, out gunned, and under leveled. It was suppose to be a stealth mission, but they don't have the voice of reason (Travis) to stop them. Besides, it was really apparent that Talisen didn't enjoy playing a blood hunter. Hopefully he gets to roll up a college of swords bard we all know he would enjoy.

Ngl I feel like Molly dying was one of the best story hooks to happen in CR. Because he died, it gave us an amazing ending for the story of the M9. The final fight against Lucien while Molly fights from within was awesome. I only wish we could of had Molly a bit longer within the story, but at least he lives on in some form in Kingsley.

Zear pike died pre show when they Were level 6 and Matt let them take her body, which was cut in half, to a priest and pay for a resurrection. It's possible. But I'm happy either way

What a shit of a plan. Nott was self annulated playing foolish games till the very end, when his skills are best for an ambush! They had no clear objective in spite of discussing the plan at length. They didn’t even enjoy a surprise round, other than to fell the bloody tree. And then, they had no idea of the power of the bad guy himself, which the dwarf didn’t reveal, even under a spell? Zero strategy.

He also shouldn't have been able to blood maledict twice, he doesn't get that until level 6. Taliesin was looking at the 'number of curses known' which increases to two at level 5. But... Nott shouldn't have been able to take half damage from a Cone of Cold using Uncanny Dodge, so Lorenzo should have hit her with 41 cold damage and one-shotted her into unconsciousness. So, swings and roundabouts.

Caduceus looked at a "purple stone" when they got back to their keep...Matt's more detailed description of this PURPLE stone was "it looks like the head of a hero". Seriously, this just came out today on youtube and some of us haven't had a chance to watch the full episode. I appreciate you clipping the show and putting up intense moments for the community but a spoiler like this is just flat out uncalled for with the title being completely obvious. Some of these show up in our suggested videos, on mine it was the FIRST suggested video on my home screen. Please keep things like that in mind when naming your videos so close to the air date. Its going to completely remove all shock from the moment when i get to that part in the episode now.

Christopher W Sorry if you feel like the title spoils anything. A hero’s journey was the least spoilery title I could think of for this video. A Hero’s Journey is a narrative archetype that describes a circular journey a character takes on their path towards becoming the hero of their narrative. Death is not a needed step in this circular journey, and so doesn’t really spoil anything. Now if I had titled the video “The tragic end of a hero’s Journey...” I’d agree it was spoilery as hell. I made this video to highlight parts of Molly’s path on his Hero’s Journey we got to follow, which I framed through his final moments. If Molly was alive, and I had decided to put these clips together, I most likely would of named it the same thing. But still, sorry if you felt it spoiled anything for you. There’s no good way around it. I usually try to avoid watching anything critical role related if I’m not caught up, but I get that’s not always possible.

There's another channel that posts CritRole deaths and it just says "The Death of..." without naming the characters and that would have been enough warning that anyone actively avoiding spoilers wouldn't click. The title as is explicitly tells you what happens. Similarly a big [C2E26 SPOILER] warning would be enough. It's not enough to avoid related content when KZbin's algorithms pushes this content directly to your feed. Even without watching this video the spoiler is already made. So please, change the title. Probably also worth waiting a bit longer to post this stuff at all. Anyone who knows what happens can go to Twitch, or the video itself, to relive the moment.

Zear I know Gulfur was an NPC but still, it sucked to lose him. Also Zito rolled a Nat 1 so I don't think he intended for Gulfur to die. I think Molly was probably going to die regardless but am not 100% sure on that. It sucks but that's the way the dice roll.
