A Hidden Gem On The Green River || Višegradski Most || Višegrad

Visegrad is located on the Drina River in the eastern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Apart from the incredibly beautiful Drina river, this city has a few more gems.
The Mehmed Pasha Sokolović Most ( bridge ) is a masterpiece of architecture and represents one of the most monumental works of architecture that was created in the period from the 15th to the 19th century in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mehmed Pasha Sokolović Bridge is a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Together with the Old Bridge in Mostar, it is on the UNESCO list of world heritage sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Andrićgrad is also a tourist, cultural and administrative complex that gives Visegrad a special beauty. If you are traveling through Bosnia and Herzegovina, be sure to stop by this gem.

I have grown up on this river just different town on a Serbian side. Learned to swim there. One of the most beautiful rivers in the region. But it won't stay that way if Rio Tinto continues to push to mine Lithium in the region. That region is the most fertaile for agriculture and is rich with undeground water ways and natural drinking water in Serbia. If they poison the waterway it will poison many rivers including this Drina river, Sava and Danube and it will affect all the countries in the region. Interesting fact, a Nobel prised winner writer Ivo Andric wrote a book, A Bridge on The Drina Rive, this is that bridge. Robert di Nero read that book long time ago and it touched him deeply. He named his older doughter by this river. In US they just mispelled it wrongly. Drena di Nero instead of Drina but pronounciation is the same.
