A Hidden Gem You Want to See! Rüdesheim, Germany Christmas Market. A Complete Walking Tour.

If you are looking for a perfect Christmas Market experience - here it is - Rudesheim, Germany. I know what you are looking for - beautiful and fairytale-like, but authentic and rustic. Big and lively but not enormous and too crowded. Spiritual and entertaining but not overwhelming. Out of 13 Christmas markets, I visited on this vacation, Rüdesheim stood out as a hidden jam that YOU want to see. I will take you on a walk with me, so you see it for yourself and have a complete experience of one of the BEST Christmas Markets. To explore Christmas markets in Europe, I would recommend traveling by train. And staying at hotels close to the train station and downtown where the Christmas markets are. (great location, accommodation, price, and breakfast buffet).
I highly recommend visiting the Christmas market at least 2 times: during the daylight and the second time - when the Christmas lights are lit up.
Trust me, you will have 2 different experiences. Some vendors, like fresh produce, may be open only during the daylight. Also, during the daylight, it is less crowded, so you do not have to stay in long lines. You can inspect the merchandise better and have a chat with the vendor without being rushed. It is a great opportunity to try and enjoy different types of food and drinks.
Let’s just stroll around the Christmas market for a while and enjoy the holiday spirit. In the evening, the market is the most crowded and busy. Everything looks special, fairy-tale-like, and has a completely different vibe. It is the best time to stroll around, have a drink, and enjoy the magic ambiance. Also, what I like about the Rüdesheim Christmas Market, is that it is not the plaza only, like many other European markets. They turned the whole downtown into a magic Christmas experience. So, you can walk through different streets and sections and enjoy a variety of Christmas decorations and festivities.
