You know Anthony, I had never even considered hiking from Glossop. A great route. We were like you. I hiked this one with my wife Amanda (the reluctant hiker), and we parked at Snake Pass. You definitely picked the more picturesque route. As I said, we were like you. You stand in a place where 13 people lost their lives. It was a sobering thought, especially when you see how far the wreckage is spread over. There were a dozen people there at the time, and it was very, very quiet. I was thankful that others were respectful, too. They didn't have to be. As for the difficulty, I get that, too. If I'm off the Peaks for more than a week, I find it hard to get back into it. Another great vlog, Anthony. I'd like to visit the 173 crash sites in the Peak District. There is another one just over Snake Pass at Mill Hill, but there isn't the same amount of wreckage. Loved the oration and how the words on the trail come from the heart. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully, once the beast from the east has passed, I can knock out these last two Ethels. I went the Saturday before the snow, and the car parks were rammed. I was going right before it hit, but it warned of frostbite and hypothermia. Amanda rightly said no. So I'm itching to get back out there.

It’s such a nice route. There’s so many amazing views to be had. Yeah it was such a sobering moment like you say, moments like that make me appreciate everything. It’s nice to know that people are respectful when they’re there too. Hiking makes me feel alive, I get so excited by being out exploring and being in places I’ve not been before. I feel like that’s the only issue sometimes is finding somewhere to park. Luckily, I mostly hike during the weekdays so it’s less busy. Well hopefully the sooner the better, definitely don’t need to be out when the weather is extremely poor, you looking forward to getting them completed Chris? You got anything lined up after you’ve completed them?

@JustMeOutdoors it is going to be a bittersweet moment when I tag that last Ethel. I'm going to complete the 88 Trig Point Challenge after this. The question is, then, do I start the Trigs from scratch or carry on from where I am. There are some beautiful peaks that have been shrouded in mist on my Ethel Challenge, so I might just repeat them. What are your thoughts on that, Anthony? There are some that hike the 88 Trig & Ethel as a parallel Challenge. But I'm leaning towards zeroing them at the moment.

I've just looked it up. 173 crash sites in the Peak District. Amazing to think that there are so many.

Great video. One of the best wreck sites there is. There are 30 in that area of the peak district with debris sites. Several on Bleaklow alone

Great walk with some excellent views. The North American sabre f.mk 4 crash site isn’t too far away on Ashop moor although not quite as much wreckage remains.
