This video is about one of the most prominent Sufi poets of Kashmir viz Rahim Sahib Sopori.( 1775-1850) B C. His poetry is replete with pathos, sufferings, and above all love for God.His poetry is blend of optimism and pessimism. The higher philosophy of life I e spirituality is dominant in his poetry.
Rahim Sahib lived in an era when Kashmir was ruled by Afghan ruers. But no political note is mentioned in his poetry.
