My 81 year old mother just loves watching your channel on her television. I arrived to help take care of her this week and my mom is suffering from beginning dementia. I introduced her to your channel just today. My mom now takes notes while you describe items you find. She is able to interact with you speaking out loud and she'll turn to me and ask questions. She remembers her father collecting and digging bottles in Stockton, CA in the 1950's. We appreciate how you always label every find you dig up along with the history. She gets a kick how you say, "Wow"! She laughs anytime you say it. Thank you for all you do!! ❤ It's truly a new activity for us to do together as well..

haha yeah. this is the age i would prefer to dig all the time lol. you just never know until your at the bottom. I really enjoy your videos. Several years ago my company was excavating a site downtown for a new building going up. I found several bottles and little crocks. The excavator operator kept getting mad at me because I would stop him every time I saw something. At another job we found a lot of Indian pottery from a local tribe that was in the area centuries ago.

80 years ago, my folks bought an old farmhouse in a small town near Portland, OR. Dad filled in an old cistern and a well and an old outhouse. He used bricks and rocks and garbage etc. We lived in that house for 20 years and then moved to a newer home and sold the land. I imagine now what was in those old holes before he did the rest of the filling. Actually, there was one missed that my horse stepped in and both back legs went in. Luckily, she was able to pull herself out without injury. When I see all the treasures you pull out I think back and know there must have been old bottles and such. There is an apartment now standing where our old farm house used to be.

Wow so cool! That second pit was a lot of fun for me. Growing up near redwing minnesota...that crock is a beauty. My grandmother immigrated from Prussia, how cool to see the mineral water bottle. She traveled as a young girl, with her family, all over the Midwest working as migrant farmers. Eventually marrying my grandfather whos family owned a farm in ND. The family still farms large scale crop acreage near Makoti, where the original soddy is still preserved. Oh how I'd love to see you dig there. Love love your channel.
