Hey Swedes! We get it. No fires on the rocks. Clearly we didn’t know. Won’t happen again!

Why are you not to have fires on a rock in Sweden? Because the rock might crack?

@@DougVarble yes, apparently the rock could crack -- that's what we've been told anyway!

I was just going to make a comment on that, but my fellow swedes also take the "Allemans" right seriuosly. No surprise there. Yes the rocks can and will crack especially if you pour water on it when it is hot.

Don't bother... just say "yes" to the complainer and then use simple good sense when he goes away... Swedes are particularly "emotional" on certain things... at least this is my point of view after marrying into it 20 years ago and living just on the other side of the Øresund for so long... To crack a rock like those you find along the coast to Göteborg or in the Stockholm archipelago you need a friking furnace from hell... a small cooking or campfire, on top of a rock, will just tickle it... LOL

As always your video is awesome, I love the way you narrate each one. The History lessons from your adventures is better than any school books could ever offer! As a 70 year old Navy veteran that has sailed the seven seas and crossed the Atlantic Ocean 8 times at the helm of a 599 ft ship - a sub tender. I admire your passion of sailing and am a bit jealous . I loved it out at sea, it was absolutely breath taking even in rough seas.Keep posting your adventures, I look forward to watching all of them!

@Williams Susan I enjoy your videos but also especially the music you put to each scene and especially your violin playing at the end. I am retired 70 year old and need to save my cash for my boat. Otherwise I would be a patron. I sail a 28' Catalina on a small lake in North Georgia, USA and also charter around the world a few times a year.

My mother's family is from the west coast of Sweden ( Goteborg ).I have been sailing in the archipelago that stretches north from Bohusland to Norway. The long days around mid-summer are amazing, it barely gets dark and the warm evening light on the glacier worn pink granite is gorgeous. So many quiet anchorages ( or you can tie up to iron rings conveniently placed in the granite on many of the small rocky islands) and tons of small fishing villages and visitor marinas with their red painted buildings, it really is a beautiful place. When I was 17 my parents house swapped for the summer with a family that lived on one of the small islands just north of Goteborg. I spent the whole summer sailing a 14 foot dingy sloop around the nearby islands and some longer trips on a 30 footer all the way to Norway.

A well deserved adventure, you put in the work before, during and after your travels. I think you could benefit from some time dinghy racing, you learn so much about many things, including watching the clouds for signs of wind changes, small movements in the boat, trimming sails. I recently bought another boat, a Laser (ILCA) dinghy (last sailed one 20 years ago) when not being used by family I have sailed and even raced it, I'd forgotten how important it is to be able to sail a dinghy even moderately well.

Wow, stunning work! The music and the pictures are soothing to the soul. I am delighted to see that you learned how to tie up against the rocks like we do in Bohuslän. We cherish our beautiful red and grey granite. To me there is nothing nicer than laying down directly on the smooth sun warm rocks looking at the sun go down in the west. So please, please, Maya and Aladino, don't light fires directly on the rocks. It cracks the surface of the stone and it will never be as smooth and beautiful again 😢. Anyway, welcome to Sweden and I can't wait for the next episode!
