A HUGE NEW Rollercoaster COMING TO THE UK??

A brand new rollercoaster is opening… maybe? Plans for a new Gerstlauer Eurofighter rollercoaster have been shown for the first time by the owner of Southport Pleasureland… and it does look like an interesting layout and ride. Today I take to the post, showcasing everything we know regarding the new coaster - and even try building it in Planet coaster… in 10 minutes. Hope you enjoy!!

2024 is basically just a modern 1994 for theme parks. Especially UK parks, I mean the big one was 94 and hyperia is 24, even nemesis and nemesis reborn. I am all for it though

I've only done one Eurofighter in the UK (Saw) and it gave me a mild concussion the last time I rode it. It'll be nice to ride a new and smooth one! I loved Saw when it first started running.

It's very sad , pleasure land Southport was a big place for me growing up near Liverpool. Having the cyclone , a crazy mouse and then traumatizer was fantastic for a 25 minute drive away. It really did go down hill over the years and became more of a fairground so if this does happen it could be the start of bringing the park back to glory !

Thats because when Geoffrey Thomson passed away his daughter couldnt wait to close the park and move the Traumatizer (now Infusion) over to Blackpool. Then the current owner couldnt get a long term lease off the council. He has recently got that lease so he's now looking to invest in the park.

Southport used to be a great fun day out. The way Backhanda destroyed it was criminal and it's not been the same since. The Cyclone was a classic ride and to have it just ripped down without warning was so sad. What I miss the most from Pleasureland though is The Mistral Flying Machine. Simple and fun. It was nearly resurrected at Margate but most of it was lost. 😭

Honestly, I think a Eurofighter would look a bit weird in Southport Pleasureland. I think a Schwarzkopf Looping Star or something similar would look more congruent with the rest of the park. But I don't hold out much hope for Southport, it took them forever to open Discovery Bay, only for the rides to be operating at half-capacity (Ultra and Enigma didn't go upside-down when they were supposed to) and now they charge £30 per person which is rather overpriced given the small scale of the park and it really seems to have hurt their business, if what the employee I spoke to is anything to go by. And it certainly looked that way when I was there last week, it was basically dead. Such a shame since I've grown up with Southport Pleasureland and hate to feel pessimistic about it but it isn't looking great. Would definitely like to see a new rollercoaster there but I'm not so sure if a Eurofighter is it.

There’s a massive gerstlauer logo faded out in the top left of the image, plus the layouts track is very similar to a Eurofighter! The lightning model has a thicker track 🙌🏻

Hang on...is this the same Southport pleasureland that was succesfurl in the 60s and 70s and 80s, had a zoo and a classic wooden coaster and then built traumatizer...( now at Blackpool) Then the park was demolished and coasters destroyed to make way for development..only to discover the land had a covenant it could only be used for entertaining purposes ... oops Now it is home to a travelling fair of portable rides and looks awful...who on earth is going to invest in a world beating coaster in Southport ? Please ....
