What I think is amazing about this episode is that the entire of Fry's arc is purely about him drinking coffee. Everyone else has their individual storylines where they're doing shit to advance the plot, and Fry's just drinking coffee. At the climax, when you think he has nothing to contribute to the episode, he ends up drinking the 100th coffee, and then you realise that his arc in this episode actually has a meaning to the overall story. He's the hidden man. The Chekhov's Gunman. The guy that finishes the story with his insane side plot. Fucking brilliant writing.

*Fry* *was* *moving* *at* *around* *MACH* *2!* *Here* *is* *proof:* Since there was a hummingbird there, the average North American hummingbird flaps its wings at around 50 beats per second. In Fry's slowed down perspective, it took 1 second for a half flap, or 2 seconds for a full flap. That means Fry is viewing the world at around 100 seconds for every second that actually happens, and if he can run at around 15 mph, that means he would be able to move at 1,500 mph. That is around twice the speed of sound, or Mach 2. Alright so based on the replies Fry wasn’t actually running, so he wasn’t moving at Mach 2, but he COULD move at Mach 2 if he did run

@DanteTorn4 жыл бұрын
TL;DR: That's not how that works. That kind of attitude costs lives. @@ohmygodism "The right order" refers to how one should react to a fire. You try your best within the moment to calm down so you can think clearly, you assess the situation as quickly as you can to prioritize the next step, you evacuate everyone out of the premises, then you can think about trying to put out the fire. Some parts of this obviously change depending on the situation, the kind of building you are in, what role you have in that building, etc. If it's a small fire that can be put out easily with usage of a fire blanket or fire extinguisher before it becomes uncontrollable then you of course should do that, but the fire is already out of control in this situation. Disclaimer: I'm not a fire safety expert. I just pay attention to fire safety instructions and extrapolated the rest with common sense.

A humming bird flaps its wings an average of 70 times per second. Fry witnessed this humming bird flaps its wings every 3 seconds (about, and in his perspective). If this is true, we take 70 * 3 (the average amount of flaps in a second times Fry's perspective), which gives us 210 seconds, or 3 and a half minutes, in Fry's time per second in the real world.

This is really it. The entire time Fry is jittery, he's precisely what you'd expect from someone who's had too many cups of coffee. But the moment he had that 100th cup, he's past it. He's calm. He's ready. He's in no hurry because he knows precisely what he has to do and how long he has to do it. No words, just a mere nod at a Hummingbird before he does his supersonic duty. Fry is more than just some idiot who wanted his 300 dollars worth of Joe, Fry has attained a level of peace only known to the most devout buddists, and the 3010s are all the better for it.

@@thesovereign8625 I never watched futurama, but do you really need to worry about bender in a fire?
@thesovereign86255 жыл бұрын
@@minecafterhd2499 Hard to say. One one hand Bender is obviously made of metal meaning less susceptible to burns and immune to oxygen deprivation. In fact, he is "40% Dolomite" which one allowed him to dive into a pool of lava and swim down quite a ways, and although this did cause cause him damage, he ultimately survived. It should be noted that Bender did experience pain during this dive. On the other hand, Bender and most other robots on Earth are fueled by alcohol. He commonly burps flames, which suggests a high concentration of flammable material within him. On one occasion, all the robots on Earth once gathered together on an island, aimed their "exhausts" toward the sky collectively and "farted" generating what was in effect a giant rocket to move the Earth in it's orbit. Bender's contribution amounted to at least 50% of the power generated, which was enough to generate enough thrust to literally push the Earth. My point is he is likely highly combustible.
