I don’t understand why people think Candy is such a kind person. She abandoned her kids for food and adult type work. ( not a real job, but ADULT type films.) She has past trauma she never addressed… but now her kids do as well. Her physical ailments are her own doing. She had been losing weight I think a year ago, she stopped because her views dropped. If she kept that up she would be in a completely different situation. We the taxpayers will foot her end of life care. I do hope she will do better, but she has a very established pattern of NOT following through.

It’s a low bar but she clears it; I understand conflating that with good, I simply think she’s not downright bad. This is what age does. She weighs less than Amber but is almost 20 years older. Amber can still walk and move. Candy can barely stand. She is 100 pounds less and medical intervention is this difficult. Amber doesn’t realize she is on borrowed time.

Candy doesn’t have all the drama that the other gorls do BUT don’t ever think she isn’t a piece of work (not what I usually call her but keeping it nice for you Sansa). I think she’s so locked into having to make money by mukbanging that the carnivore/healthier vlogs aren’t something she’ll keep up with. Not a fan of hers but definitely hoping she makes some progress this year. She’s able to start off great - she just needs the tools to keep at it. And there’s no way she’s faking her pain. You can’t abuse your body like that and not hurt.

I don't believe Candy is putting on an act; she's 4'9, I do believe, and weighs 417 pounds. The pressure on her joints has to be excruciating and, as we see, debilitating. I'm happy she's starting to take her health seriously because there is no way she can continue to survive at her current weight.

Candy has addressed these very claims - she was fucked up when she was younger and wasn't proper parenting - so her family Stepped in to help raise her kids. So if someone is a drug addict and made bad decisions when they were younger - means present day they shouldn't be regarded as a "sweet soul"? This comment hurts my heart and highlights exactly problem with gorl world.

I think she's just doing this because people aren't watching anymore. Her breathing and health are stopping people from watching. She mentioned in one of her older videos she had gone through all this before, she used to be bigger the doctors told her she had heart problems and mutiple health problems and after a while she brushed it under the carpet and got on with her life. I hope she changes, but i can't see it happening. Unfortunately, she relies on the money she makes on youtube the little she makes now. A few years ago, she used to have hundreds of thousands of views, but that dwindled now she's stuck in a cycle eating to make money on the back of her health deteriorating.

I don't think there is a drug, surgery or diet plan that helps individuals to understand the reasons they are compelled to overeat / binge. Therapy seems to be required as a component of beating most addictions. Candy has had a difficult life, I would love to see her get well. ❤

I dealt with pain and mobility loss in my 30's by simply being depressed and sedentary at a normal weight. It took years to build the strength back up. People can talk about gorl behavior all they want but need to STFU about them faking physical pain.

There is no way someone gets to her age and her weight without being in a lot of pain. She is my fave of all the gorls but the one I watch the least, because I find it too sad. She has made her choice, and I don't think she will ever make change enough to matter. I wish she would, but I don't hold out hope for her.

Poor woman. I feel her pain, and I'm not overweight. 5'4 1/2" (I have lost half an inch to osteoporosis) and 120 lbs on average, give or take. I have a fused SI joint, a compression fracture at L4/L5, and fibromyalgia. I had a spinal cord stimulator implant in 2010, and the wires aren't in the best place, and it is outdated. Injections and rhiziotomies help tremendously. My pain clinic went belly up, so i am about 5 months behind on the injections. A new doc is great. I had my SI joint done. Two months later, when I scheduled my rhiziotomy, I was told the new doc couldn't do it because of my stimulator. So, another doc at a clinic right next door, will have to do it. But, I need to see his PA first! Oh, goodness. I can't imagine going through all she's going through. I'll think of her!

No matter whether people like Candy or not, at least she is making progress, unlike the others, who shall remain nameless. I for one am pleased for her. She can't change her past, what's done is done and I remember watching a video she made a few years ago explaining that she had very severe mental health problems at the time she re-homed the children, for their sake. It always saddens me to see people dealing with type 2 diabetes who don't follow instructions, because it can be a very manageable disease, but it does take some effort. My best friend has been heavy since we met almost 40 years ago, but she's been able to keep her blood sugar perfect with diet changes and medication, and hasn't needed insulin, and it's not because she "got skinny." Having some weight on you isn't the death sentence a lot of people seem to think it is, it's (as with most things) a matter of degree and choices.

Manageable... type 2 diabetes in most cases is more than manageable. It can be reversed.. or put into complete remission if you prefer those terms. Unfortunately our treatment and advice for type 2 diabetics has been less than optimal, and in so many cases actually harmful. We have reached a new age for treating "Diabetes 2". Hopefully someday we will call it something else as the name itself is part of the problem.

I don't really follow Candy except for on this channel and she makes me think about Amberlynn Reid. Amber is over 100 lbs heavier than Candy and is having knee pain and with lipedema and lymphedema, I think she'll be a lot worse off at Candy's age. I really hope Candy is motivated enough to lose weight in order to help her other health issues but not going to doctor's appointments makes me worry. Thanks Sansa!

Just leave it and with it the screenname "Hungry Fat Chick". I agree that it in itself is part of the probelm. She can continue fresh with a brand new channel and a brand new name or a continuation and reintroduction of Amazura Darkstar. But she hasn't planned ahead financially to do this. And at the current time still shows that she lacks the necessary experience and skill to delay gratification. I am glad that SansaCooks and Kidneyjay react to her from time to time and especially when she is showing signs that she is trying to change for the better. I won't watch her videos on her channel. But there is a fresh audience of people who would certainly jump to support her if she made positive changes and hard decisions.

She needs to put her health and weight loss as her first priority. No excuses. Or she will succumb. I have a little bit of experience here. I was 409 pounds about two years ago and I was in my 30’s. Plus I’m 5’10”, which is a lot taller. 100% her weight is impacting her health. It impacted my health, although not as severely as hers has been impacted yet. I’m not a doctor or nurse, but you can hear her respiratory issues in her videos. That’s bad. I had very painful back issues about ten years ago, but fortunately I had good insurance at the time through my husband. Doctors will do regular X-rays in every visit, although it’s very painful to lay there. I don’t know about being too big for an X-ray because I was big too and my doctor essentially had a whole room for X-rays and you would move according to what was needed. They were trying to get me to have an MRI to narrow down best medication but my insurance wouldn’t approve it. I had months of physical therapy, medication, urgent care visits, back spasms so bad I fainted on two occasions. They would not approve an MRI for me. Finally, I was getting to the point I couldn’t walk. I could put weight on my left leg, but my right leg couldn’t hold me up. I was in agony. I went to the hospital. They gave me pain medication I never want to have again because I felt so sick. The insurance allowed the MRI. So I don’t know what her diagnosis is or why they would be ok with an MRI when she hadn’t had an X-ray. But she needs to stop playing games and start following their advice no matter what. If she keeps going, she will not make it and it will be very painful.

I hope you're doing better now. That sounds awful. I'm having a hard time believing her about the x-ray because I have a client in a rural community with a small, poorly equipped hospital that managed to get x-rays and she's 5'6 and 580#. She also has very large hips and a low hanging belly. Idk. Vegas has some great health care options, i just have doubts about her story.

I have always rooted for candy to me her past is her past it is not her present and it is not her future. We all have a past it may be different but it's still a past. This gentleman is staying with her I hope he can help I also hope that they look into things that can help her I know they have Vans and things like that would be easier for her to get into. I hope she gets to see a doctor that can actually help her and I also hope that she will listen to that doctor. @SansaCooks I know there's things in her area if I remember correctly she lives in Nevada I could be wrong who knows but even in my small little neck of the woods here in Pennsylvania they have things to help. They have handicapped accessible vans that will come and pick you up and take you to different places and you don't have to pay for them. You're not all of them are run by the government we have a lot of people in my area that do this just to help others out. We have one that's called Sam's Van they will actually pick you up at your house and take you to doctor's appointments even across state grocery shopping whatever you need all you have to do is call them set up a time and they work with everybody they have different drivers. So I'm pretty sure there's things in her area

Well, Amber carries a lot of weight with the fluid in her legs, and she also has a lot more muscle mass than Candy. She's 20 years younger and still ambulatory. If/when she stops moving, she's going to be Candy.

I just feel very bad for some of these people. They don’t have all the time in the world…but they act like it. It is very obvious she already has serious pulmonary issues and now is a diabetic. She won’t be around to lose 100 lbs pretty soon.

I wish her the best and hope she can make some progress. I think the deck is stacked against her though, in that she earns $$ from muckbangs. I hope she can turn it around. I was surprised at the HbA1C of 6.5 which although it is indicative of diabetes, it isn’t horrible. That’s a number that FB can likely only dream of.

I am 5ft. 56yrs old and I weigh roughly 80lbs. 10+yrs ago I had a bad car accident and that car crumbled. I was busted and broken but doctors and emt told me my size saved me. I’ve weighed that my entire adult life and I can’t imagine how hard it would have been to recover from all my broken bones with that weight.

I wonder what in the world will be acceptable for her to eat. Carnivore and in general anything except totally plant based keto seems kind of dangerous also just because there is clearly such a hardship going on with her heart and lungs. I don’t think she’s faking or dramatizing either.
