Carsen, I have watched your improvement over the years and was rooting for you at State! Great work to you and Coach Mike!

Natural talent will only get you so far, it's the hard work and training behind the scenes that takes you to the next level. During covid when everything was shutdown, I made my own hurdles to practice in my apartment hallway. Instead of making excuses, I found a way to train.

Hey I have trouble translating what I work on in practice to track meets .. when I get into track meets and the gun goes off my hurdle form goes out the window and my arms is all over the place. Is that possible to get rid of my arms being crazy at the meets ?

First off, it’s very normal to be able to master movement at a slow speed, but not at a full speed. That’s why I recommend incrementally easing and not moving forward until you mastered something at that particular level. Also, keep in mind it often takes many hours of repetition to get really great at something.

@@acemethodcoaching9102 can hurdler drills and form drills help with that?

What is his 100m time
@acemethodcoaching910211 ай бұрын
It’s a great question! To my knowledge, he never ran the open 100M. He was always running his hurdles and relays.

I just asked him. He only ran it once as a junior. 10.9 . I’d be curious to see his senior time, because he got much faster.
