I just came up with the concept of the story for season 2 (if I'm disrespecting the show somehow, tell me): -Both Aiko and our protagonist (her clone) are living their respective lives, happy and in love. But... They are still connected to each other like some sort of hive mind. At first, they don't mind, because this is their way of checking each other to make they're okay. But the problems start when our protagonist starts having hallucinations of the life Aiko's living and vice-versa, just to add to the problem that the protagonist discovers that her feelings for the person she loves (who by the way lost her younger siblings during that day the matter took over) are making her body pass at least a few of the matter to her lover's body, in an attempt to turn her into something similar to what she was. Due to this event, and Aiko's own stress (I'll explain later), both of them start repressing their worst emotions and thoughts, however, Aiko, unconsciously, tranfers all of her negativity towards the protagonist's brain, which combined with the protagonist's own negativity, eventually starts forming a second personality inside of her brain, one that despises Aiko and her father's very existance due to the fact she believes they created her only to suffer, and she starts taking over our protagonist's brain as she tortures Aiko psychologically. This hive mind thing however isn't limited towards the two of them alone. This conflict also reaches Aiko's family, doctor Izuhara and his daughter. The doctor's insanity (the hive mind releases him of his vegetative state eventually) only contributes for the clone's alterego to become stronger. In short, season 2 would end with our fallen hero, the doctor and his daughter (who has her sickening passion for doctor Yurya increased to the extreme) teaming up and take control over the newly created artificial life forms. There's more that I want to say, but first, I want you to know what do you think of the draft for the story.

One more thing before your critique. I think one of the concepts this show explores is the cycle of life itself. What they went throught in season 1 was our protagonist's own birth as her own person, and Aiko's rebirth. So season 2 should be about the stage of growing up, as they live their own lives and react to the experiences they encounter (maybe this could be an opportunity to flash out more the side characters), thus giving it the name "Aico the cycle", and season 3 should be about the stage of death, thus giving it the name "Aico the return" (though I'm not sure if I end season 3 with the two girls dying and their friends accepting it, have them die, thus giving birth to one new body with a specific strand of memories created, thus creating a third Aiko, representing the cycle of denial we trap ourselves in, or have them die, but create a whole new living being that has their personalities mixed, has a life of her own as she doesn't have none of their memories, leaving ambiguous if the truth is ever told to her or not).

So yes it was funded by Netflix, but those anime are not funded by Netflix, they are simply the american distributor for those anime, again, I'll repeat myself, just think of Crunchyroll or Funimation here, it's the SAME fucking thing. Except that those other 2 sites streams only animes and Netflix streams a lot of things. I don't see why you try making yourself believing that because Netflix funded Castlevania that they are also funding all those other animes they will be distributing on their platform.

This looks really good, but seems similar to another anime on netflix, Sidonia. Complaint, they seemed to be escaping really slowly from that monster, yet when they are moving faster the monster is moving faster. It should have been able to catch them on the stairs but it didnt. No sense or urgancy since its speed seems to be dependent on how fast the plot needs it to move. A serious let down given how amazing the story seems to be otherwise. Im hoping there is more to it, like something they shot it with slowed it down but it only lasted a few minutes/30 seconds etc.

They should, crunchyroll deserves to go bankrupt. They were nothing but bottom feeders profiting from stealing others work and selling it for money. translators did their job because they loved the shows and did it free, they were the ones that made fan subs on Tapes from japan, they made anime popular, they made subs at a time when japan wasnt interested in selling them in the US, if not for them anime wouldnt exist in the USA. Meanwhile everyone other then crunchyroll who wasnt selling anime for money got legal threats, crunchyroll was given a job offer instead and rather then hiring the translators who loved the shows, they hired the cheapest ones they could find and they put out the WORST quality translations you could imagine. It wasnt till a few years later when they were making more money and more japanese companies signed with them that they increased the quality. They are a horrible morally bankrupt company and i can guarantee you that if they have forums they would NEVER allow the truth to be posted. These japanese companies even refused to allow shows to be translated even though many fans had spent 5-10 years reading a series and they expected them to wait another 5-10 years while the show caught up! They all had nothing but disrespect for those that made their profit in the USA possible. I have no respect for any of them because they have no respect for us. @christian No. When crunchyroll started they did NOT license ANYTHING. They took fansubs from translators without their permission and often times going against their wishes to SELL the translators work for a profit. At least the fansubbers translated it for free because they wanted to share a show that wasnt available outside of japan. Crunchyroll was nothing but thieves and worse then pirates because they directly profited from the work of others without their permission. even pirates on torrent sites dont profit from it.

I watched this first couple of Episodes with english dub, it wasnt great. It really shows when you compare it to the Dub for B: The beginning, another Nexflix origional anime, which had an amazing dub. Yo are better off watching it in Japaneese with english sub. Japaneese voice cast is much better and far less offensive to the ears.

Omg the English dubs main characters every other line is a HUH, WHA, GASP ! It’s beyond overused, so many moments where she didn’t need to make any noises or at least say the HUH quieter.
