Setting up that AI to sound like a little girl kept reminding me about that movie MEGAN. Every time I see a story about AI, it makes me think about Skynet and the Terminator. I don’t think I’m alone in saying it’s a bad idea. Thankfully, what we’re calling AI is actually far from what AI truly is. None of the apps available right now can think for themselves, much less pass the Turing test. They’re still doing exactly what their creators programmed them to do. None of these machines are self-aware or making their own decisions. Calling them AI is nothing more than a gimmick at this point.
