జవహర్ లాల్ నెహ్రూ వ్రాసిన డిస్కవరీ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా ఆధారంగా రూపొందించిన భారత్ ఏక్ ఖోజ్ అనే ధారావాహికలో అళియ రామరాయలు తనను తాను చంపుకున్నట్టు చూపించారు. కానీ 16వ శతాబ్దం నాటి ’తారీఫ్-ఇ-నిజామ్ షాహీ’లో అహమ్మద్ నగర్ సుల్తాన్ నిజామ్ షా అళియ రామరాయల ను చంపించినట్టి చూపే చిత్రం ఉంది.
ఈ రెండింటిలో ఏది నిజం అన్నదాన్ని ఒక శాసనం ఆధారంగా తేల్చే ప్రయత్నం ఈ పాడ్కాస్ట్.

మన వాళ్ళ తో ఒచ్చిన సమస్య ఏమిటంటే మనకెంత గొప్ప సాహిత్యం ఉన్నా, సారస్వతం ఉన్న చరిత్రను గ్రంధీకరించే అలవాటు లేకపోవడమే, అందుకే రాతి శాశనాల మీద ఆధరపడాలి, లేక విదేశి చరిత్ర కారుల రచనల మీద ఆధారపడాలి. పర్షియా చరిత్ర కారుడు ఫరిస్తా, ప్రకారం తళ్ళీ కోట యుద్దాం లో ఓటమికి ప్రధాన కారణం. దక్కన్ సుల్తానుల వద్ద ఉన్న అత్యంత ఆధునికమయిన పిరంగులే, వాటిని నిర్వహించడానికి రూబి ఖాన్ అన్న నిపుణుణ్ణి టర్కీ నుంచి వారు తెప్పించుకున్నారు. యుద్దం కీలక దశలో ఉన్నప్పుడు అతను రాగి నాణాలు పిరంగులలో పెట్టి పేల్పించాడు, దానితో శబ్దం లేకుండా, కొన్ని వేల మంది విజయనగర సైనికులు నేలకొరిగారు. అప్పుడు ఏనుగ మీద ఉన్న రామరాయలను గుర్రం మీదకి మారి సైన్యాన్ని నడపపమని చెప్పినా వినిపించుకోలేదు, అనుక్కోకుండా ఒక యువ తుర్సుష్క సైనికుడు, ఒక ఏనుగ మీద ఒచ్చి రామరాయల ఏనుగని ఢీ కొన్నడు, కుదుపుకి అదుపు తప్పి రామ రాయలు ఏనుగ మీద నుంచి కింద పడిపోయాడు, తురుష్క సైనికులు అతనిని బందించి అదిల్ షా దగ్గర కి తీసుకెళ్ళేరు. అప్పుడు అతను కైసే హో అని అడిగాడు, రామరాయలు, తలని తీసేయమన్నట్లుగా సౌఙ్ఞ్య చేసేడు. వెంటనే అతని తల నరికి బల్లేనికి గుచ్చి విజయనగర సైనికులకి చూపాడు, భీతావాహులయిన సైనికులు పారిపోయారు. ఇక నెహ్రు గారి విశయానికి ఒస్తే తురుష్కులు చేసిన దురాగతాలు తక్కువ చేసి చూపెట్టడం అతనికి అలవాటే, మహమ్మద్ ఘజ్నవీ గొప్ప సెక్యులర్ అని చెప్పేడు, డబ్బు కోసం సోమనాథ్ ని దోచుకున్నాడని మత తత్వం లేదని చెప్పేడు అతని పుస్తకం Discovery of India లో

Yes true he was beheaded in hurry before the arrival of Ibrahim by Ahmed Nijamshah. Aliya Ramaraya head was taken to Ahmednagar fort by nizamshah , and kept as drainage outlet of the fort for many years .insulting and desecrating his remains. (As written by Feristha)

He beheaded nizam shah's general jahangir khan when he visited hampi as guest only bcz nizam mistakenly bought jahangir (bidar sultan's general ) as safety to hampi.. Nizam pleaded not to kill jahangir instead he can kill anyone in his army but rama raya does not listen and also he make nizam eat out of his hands infront of all, raiding looting villages, using their mosque to rest the horses etc etc this man (rama)had done almost everything which the empire was not built for.. Nizam hated him to the core

At that time one of the muslim attendant of ramaraya commited sabotage and stabbed him and ramaraya fell down from the elehant. having seen this the allied army came back and one of the sultan cut the head of ramaraya and destructed the city of Humpi. the destruction was described in detail by Father Heras.in his book aravidu dynasty/

Sorry sir, your research is half baked , from what you described and the English version doesn’t clearly say the Turk king killed . It mearly says died due to action of Turks !! This doesn’t conclusively prove !! Regarding the picture evidence , it’s common to claim for fame . And the painter being who he was , would naturally praise his master , a Turk ruler . Several history books clearly say that the wars those days were more for territorial dominance and not religious bigotry!! Hence to suggest that Nehru and conversely Benegal were wrong doesn’t stand scrutiny!! Keep doing your good work without being swayed by times we live in.

How does Rice's translation of the Kannada text "తురుకర రాజకార్యక్కాగి అస్తమానవాగలాగి" fail to say that the Sultans (Turks) killed Ramaraya? Also, does this translation support Nehru's theory of Ramaraya committing suicide? As per the chronicle written by Ibrahim Zuburi who was personally present in the meeting of Deccan sultans convened by Ali Adil Shah of Bijapur, it becomes clear that the five sultans felt the need to wage holy Jihad against infidel Ramaraya to protect and spread Islam. Please check Vijayanagara Sexcentenary Commemoration Volume's page no. 246 for details. This makes it clear that for Ramaraya it was a political struggle for regional dominance but for sultans it was about their religion only. So, how much ever someone tries to remove 'religion' from the battle, primary sources particularly that of the Deccan sultanates give a religious colour to the entire proceedings.

Nehru him self told he is M*slim by culture, Hindu by accident and by education, life style and values like Christian. He is pucca anti Hindu as he did not do pranapratishta of Somnath Temple in 1949 and prevented then President Babu Rajendra Prasad to go for that ceremony.His anti Hindu sentiments are once again reveled by his request to to merge Kasmir in to Indian union is delayed purposefulky by Nehru as he hated Maharaja of kashmir and supported anti Maharja elements like Abdulla.Reports are there that his biological father is not Motilal Nehru and his biological mother is not kamala Nehru.
