Lots of unspoken team animosity about how the Aces had to reduce their team effectiveness in order to beef up A'ja's scoring. Think of a team as a pool of water. That pool represents all the energy, talent and capabilities of an entire team, It's limited. Now if you add more water to one area of the pool the rest of the pool lowers. That's essentially what happened to the Aces and to Chicago. Both teams expended a great deal of energy beefing up the stats of their two stars and the rest of the team suffered. Also, if you add more water to one area of the pool the rest of the pool gets unbalanced.
