As players age the high intensity they play with in the off season overseas can eventually catch up to some mentally and definitely physically, making them more prone to injury. There seems to be a fine line between maintaining your basketball craft and overdoing it which leads to plateauing. The joints on these ladies have been heavily used and abused in many of their 15+ years of playing. The scheduling has no mercy on anyone- they get slammed early with crammed games or later on. Such a testament that anyone can be beat at any time. The mercy at the end of the season seems to be who is the most healthy as a whole. Never how you start but how you finish.

A good drill is to come at players with broom sticks raised so that players can shoot and raise their release point and still make the shot. It’s a great way to learn to shoot your shot and still make while contested. Klay Thompson was terrific at shooting the ball but he would also raise his release point when under contest.

Let me preface by saying I’m a huge fan of the Aces, both as players and people. Been a huge Hammon fan since the Spurs. But the Aces are getting killed on the boards. Kia Stokes is not aggressive enough and she would be a back up on most teams. They need someone who has to be powerful rebound hawk, like Angel Reese. They wouldn’t have to be a great scorer, the Aces have plenty of shooters, but they need someone powerful to get them offensive and defensive rebounds off the glass, and for whatever reason, Kia is just too tentative and not aggressive enough.

I believe that they are badly missing Chelsea. They have no true point guard, they at times look lost and unorganized on the court, turning over the ball, not transiting on defense, just making dumb turnovers. A lot of the role-players don't know their role. Hayes and Clark aren't stacking up at all.

She just singed a major cosmetic deal. By the way, the largest industry in the world. And Camerons stake in the fashion world. A busted nose on Reese's face could cost her as well as Cameron who could break a leg.
