Emily Fox has come such along way, and has improved & grown exponentially from her early days on the senior team. She has FULLY earned the role of starting fullback on the US Women’s National Team. Massive accomplishment! Any USWNT fans that aren’t familiar with her play, rest assured, you want her on that line, she’s got this! She’s got massive speed, can chase down the sprinter-wingers, smarts in abundance, fierce tackling skills, and top-shelf passing talent, all served up with a quiet and strong blue-collar confidence. Can’t wait to see her dominate whatever side they put her on. LFG 2023!!! 🇺🇸⚽️🇺🇸

I think Fox, Dunn, Cook, and Girma will be a formidable back line. Yes, we'll miss Sauerbrunn but we we can take solace in that Becky will have shared minutes with those 4 and that experience is already part of their preparation. Fox covered Iceland's speedy S. J. Jonsdottir (a member of Vfl Wolfsburg) in a 2022 friendly and just smothered her. I am expecting blocks, tackles, assists, and perhaps a goal or two from Emily Fox.

In the USWNT versus France game before the 2019 World Cup Jill started Emily Fox at left back against Delphine Cascarino. Crystal Dunn finished that game at left back. Fox has come a long way since that game. I'm not totally sure Fox had totally recuperated from a knee surgery.

Media should have put effort into that interview by providing preparation... the light makes her look like a mirror... and people get prepared to avoid the sweaty shining.

I agree the light is horrible on Emily especially but also on Sebi. This isn't a home brew YT podcast, this is ESPN. It looks like a CSI segment where a suspect is being questioned. Having said that, I have watched Sebi do a number of these interviews and his questions are always good while being respectful. No softballs, nothing fluffy.
