Turtles do eat jellyfish because they’re easy to catch and don’t hurt the turtle but this is why pollution is bad in general but especially bad for turtles because they think plastic bags are jellyfish sometimes and eat them choking or it clumps in their stomach/intestines

​@@jayvee1387literally everything can substitute plastic, every material we know and use in our daily lives is an option over plastic in at least one use, but since plastic became such a cheap production and so abused by industrialization in the last century or so, there is no investment for lowering the cost of those substitute materials. If you go to a market you can check it, basically every product has a plastic bottle and a glass bottle, or a plastic bag and a paper bag, it's just about changing habits and the way you think about it, problem is getting the govs to think on this different way as well

FYI you can't put sharks to sleep until you upgrade the tranquilizer dart, but it will slow them down a lot until the effect wears off!

The squeaky hammer is the weapon of choice for live shark and everything else hunting, but a tranq rifle will suffice if you're not brave enough (or don't get a hammer spawn).

Leatherbacks LOVE jellies and because their numbers were declining, there was a huge spike in jelly pods popping up. IRL jellyfish fields. The scene in Finding Nemo but MASSIVE. Idk if numbers have balanced and I really hope they have.... But with the way things are going now... 🤷🏽‍♀😓 EDIT: Pacific leatherback sea turtles are still endangered and still in decline 😔

Just a few tips for future gameplay: 1) always collect the things used as ingredients in dishes, even if you don’t need them right now. You can have 30 fish but can’t make anything with them if you don’t have the other ingredients. Plus enhancements also use the ingredients along with the fish, so that way you’re prepared for either. 2) you should collect as much ore as possible, certain ones sell for a ton of money but also come in handy to have some on hand when needed. 3) the sharks sell for a lot and you get a ton of meat from just one shark. Especially the saw sharks you run into all the time.

From experience, the hush gun doesnt help much in putting sharks to sleep, but the hammer can. Upgrading a gun to tranquilizer also works well.

Gab, it's totally fine if you're full. You have two types of full, your limit, were you get slowed down, and the next update limit, which you can't hold nothing and you are even more slowed. If you feel safe, go slow, have O2 with you and one of those motor thingies, you're good. Seriously, I beat sharks while totally full (cause I'm irresponsible). While in events, remember of today too, always prepare the menu early, seeing by price and taste what you wanna try to get. You don't lose your time by doing that. See what sells well in the menu, not only in the last sales. For fragments, detach the guns and harpoon tips you don't wanna use now or later. Kajime and agar are a must. And you don't have to keep the predators fish that go after you, barracudas are 7kg and don't have a great comeback, I always 'neutralize' and keep in the sea. Save space for newer or better fish. Oh, and the net is so handful, you get a lot of meat, can improve a ton of the first few dishes and have a lot to serve in the end and they don't weight much.

Turtles love jellyfish, which is unfortunately why they're victims of pollution in the ocean so much... floating plastic grocery bags look a LOT like jellyfish to a turtles eyes and they've been known to try and eat them. :(

I'm not sure if I saw you doing this yet, but this was something I found out about much later in the game. You can send your employees out to find rare ingredients, you aren't totally reliant on having to find salt, soy sauce etc in the blue hole. Also while you can enhance lower quality fish to a good degree...the big meals you get by going further down and using recipes are 10x better both in terms of happiness and $$
